I've been sitting in this room for a while now. These people are giving me a headache. They will not stop being nosey."what are you in for wimp?" one would ask. "Oh? Looks like the crybaby'a in trouble," another would say. I couldn't help but tear up at their words. Ugh, I hate these stupid emotions. If it weren't for the detention teacher breathing down our necks I would have totally punched these idiots into the second dimension.
The idiots started to die down once they realized I wasn't reacting as much as they wanted me to. Some were still saying hateful things. I wished the teacher would have stepped in but, it was clear to me that the teacher didn't care that much. The only thing he did was shush them. Like that would stop them.
Sitting in this room got boring quick. I was contemplating jumping out the window and making a run for it before the door to the detention room opened. I look in the direction of the noice and met face to face with none other than Molly. It was like looking at an angel. Her bright blue eyes felt like a beacon of light. I stared at her and she stared back. "How did she get even more beautiful?" I thought to myself.
"What did she get in trouble for?" I thought once more. She then started walking. She sat a pile of papers on the teacher's desk. I felt like an idiot, "Oh. She isn't in trouble. That's a relief. What was I thinking? Molly, the goody two shoes, in trouble?! Never." I couldn't help but stare at her the entire time she was in the class.
As she was leaving she gave me a small wave. I couldn't help but wave back with a big smile. "Ooh! someone's got a cruuussshhhh," one of the guys who were mocking me earlier. I rolled my eyes and flipped him off. I don't like Molly and I never will. I find it weird to date someone who was your friend even though that's how most relationships start. If I were to be in a relationship I would go in with the intention of dating that person so that I can make myself however I want towards them. With a friend they already know you from the inside out. It's weird having that same person be the one you make out with.
The teacher then put down his book and started to hand out the papers Molly brought him. He was reading a book about psychiatric hospitals. "Probably figuring out how to put us in one," I thought to myself. I finally got the work handed to me. I almost gasped as I saw the four pages stapled together. "Welp I'm not doing this," I said aloud. I moved the paper to the side and started watching the clock.
I sat there watching it for what seemed like an eternity but my prayers were finally answered when the bell rung. I darted out of that dreaded class faster than light. One more minute of that torture and I would have died. I snickered and looked back at the classroom. That one action caused me to slam face first into the wall of the building. "Oww," I groaned. I fell to the floor with a heavy thud.
"Are you alright?" a familiar voice called out to me. I look over and it's none other than Molly. I had just so happened to fall right next to the office. "Of course just my luck" I uttered to myself quietly. "Mhm." I nodded as I stood up. "It's uh...been a while hasn't it?" I said awkwardly trying not to make eye contact with her. "Yeah, it has been a while. Guess time just slips away when you're having fun," she says with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back.
"Anyway I was just about to come and find you." she says. "You were?" I was slightly surprised at this. "Yeah! I'm having a party at my house tomorrow night and I want you to be there. I know we haven't talked in a while but I thought that we could try to reconnect." She continues to smile at me. "Okay I'll be there." I answered almost immediately. This was a once in a life time opportunity. Not only would I be able to reconnect with my friend but I might be able to make some new ones.
I look at her and smile when I see my bus slowly leaving. "Oh sh*t! I got to go. I-I'll see you there!" I dash towards the bus and barely make it. "Sh*t." I laughed out of joy and relief. Things were finally going my way. I didn't even care that I was going to get chewed out by my parents for getting in trouble. All I knew was that I was getting my friend back and that was all I needed.
Author's note: Hello again. Thank you for reading this chapter. I understand that this chapter is more coincidence based than the first but my brain has been struggling to come up with a non boring continuation to the last and this was the best thing my brain could come up with. Thank you for understanding. Bye bye now. - Jelly :)
