The Hogwarts library exuded an inviting ambiance with soft lamplight casting a warm glow on ancient tomes and dusty scrolls. It was the perfect haven for quiet contemplation, and this evening, it had become the meeting point for Lucian, Lily, and Emily as they delved into their research on past Triwizard Tournaments. Emily, poised for her inaugural task in the tournament, had sought the assistance of her friends Lucian and Lily.

Lucian, the embodiment of charm and a laid-back demeanor, had forged a lasting friendship with Lily since their first year at Ilvermorny, despite their sorted into different houses. His remarkable ability to connect with people had given rise to his close friendship with Emily, who was a year his senior and shared his house.

Lily, on the other hand, was renowned for her intelligence and gentle demeanor. She possessed an uncanny knack for unearthing obscure information, often serving as Emily's secret weapon in their research endeavors. Her friendship with Emily had flourished through their shared interests and countless hours spent together.

Seated at a cozy corner table, surrounded by dusty volumes and parchment, Lucian avidly combed through a forbidden tome from the restricted section of the library. He flipped through the ancient pages, his brows furrowing as he absorbed the intricate details of past Triwizard Tournaments. Meanwhile, Lily, her delicate fingers tracing the parchment's lines, diligently transcribed the most crucial information onto her own sheets.

As they immersed themselves in their research, a tranquil hush descended over their corner, interrupted only by the occasional rustle of parchment and the soft scratch of quills on paper.

Then, like a breath of fresh air, Genevieve appeared before them. Her presence was captivating, and her warm smile exuded an irresistible charm. She approached Lucian, her steps as graceful as a waltz, and greeted him with a voice laced with a French accent. "You're Lucian Everhart, aren't you?"

Lucian, momentarily taken aback but ever gracious, nodded. "Indeed, I am. And you?"

With a nod that carried a subtle hint of flirtation, Genevieve introduced herself. "I am Genevieve from Beauxbatons. I couldn't help but overhear that you're one of the best Quodpot players at Ilvermorny. Would you be interested in explaining the game to me sometime?"

However, Lucian's reply was oblivious to the flirtatious undertones. "I'd love to, but I'm currently helping Emily with her research. Maybe another time?"

Genevieve, still friendly in her tone, gracefully accepted his polite decline. "Of course, mon ami. I hope to see you around."

With a subtle sway of her skirt, Genevieve turned and glided away, leaving an aura of enchantment lingering in her wake. Lucian watched her departure for a moment before returning his attention to the research, his thoughts oscillating between friendship and curiosity.

Unbeknownst to Lucian and his friends, Hermione had been nearby, engrossed in her own research. She had witnessed the interaction with an unexplained pang of jealousy.

Hermione watched as Genevieve walked away, her heart feeling curiously heavy. She was acutely aware that she had no claim over Lucian, yet the sight of him engaging with someone else stirred something within her. With a resigned sigh, she redirected her focus to her books, determined to immerse herself in her own studies.

The trio continued their research in the library, unaware of the emotions and unspoken tensions swirling around them. Emily, true to her tomboyish nature, couldn't resist gently teasing Lucian, a mischievous grin playing on her lips as she whispered, "Looks like you've caught someone's eye, Lucian. You're quite the heartthrob, aren't you?"

Lily, who had been discreetly observing the exchange, chimed in with a knowing smile. "Well, I must say, Lucian, it's not every day that someone as enchanting as Genevieve approaches you in the library."

Lucian blushed slightly but tried to downplay the situation with a sheepish grin. "Come on, you two. Let's focus on helping Emily with her task. We don't want her to end up in a dragon's belly during the first task."

And so, their camaraderie prevailed as they continued their studies in the library. The encounter with Genevieve had added an unexpected twist to their evening, but their shared commitment to aiding Emily in her preparation for the Triwizard Tournament remained their primary focus.
