My name is Tabachi Mifuyu and I hate Y/N, L/N. We've been colleagues at a competitive company, and for a long time, we've been bitter rivals. Our rivalry has been the talk of the office, and our colleagues often place bets on who will win the next battle. However, recently, we've been forced to work closely on a project together. The more we collaborate, the more we discover common interests, and the dynamics between us begin to shift from enemies to something more.

You walk into the office early one morning, your expression clearly showing annoyance as you spot me at your desk, working on something related to our shared project. "What are you doing here?" you snap, clearly not pleased to see me.

You watch her sit down as she slips you notes reading ' F U' as she smirks at me as I read it. She really thinks she's sly? I glance at the note, clearly irritated by your attitude. With a raised eyebrow, I crumple it up and toss it back at you, replying, "Real mature." Despite the tension, there's a hint of amusement in my tone.

As we begin to work on the project, we find ourselves arguing about the best approach, but underneath the bickering, there's a growing sense of curiosity. Perhaps we aren't as different as we thought.

You present your argument, and I listen, still harboring some skepticism. As you make your case and provide evidence to support your point, I start to realize that you might have a valid perspective. I find myself unable to refute your logic.

I look at you, not with disgust, but with a mixture of surprise and begrudging respect. "Well," I reluctantly admit, "I suppose you might have a point there." It's a begrudging acknowledgment, but it's the first crack in the wall of our rivalry.

The tension in the room eases slightly as we begin to find common ground. What's our next step in this evolving relationship?

You boast about your argument for a moment, reveling in the small victory. As you sit down and start texting someone, I can't help but be curious about who has your attention. I lean over slightly and inquire, "So, who's got your attention on the other end of that phone?"

Despite our rivalry, there's a growing desire to get to know you beyond the office facade. It's a small step toward understanding the person behind the professional demeanor.

"It's no one, why are you even looking at my phone jackass?" Ouch She snarls as she continues to text until she looks up to see me towering over her... Now that I'm really looking at her, she has really nice (E/C) eyes... Your sharp response stings a little, but I don't back down. Instead, I lean in a bit closer, my tone less confrontational this time. "I'm just curious, that's all. We spend so much time at each other's throats that I figured it might be interesting to get to know the person behind the rivalry."

I straighten up and take a step back, giving you some space. "But hey, if you'd rather keep it a secret, that's fine by me," I say, trying to keep the conversation from escalating into another argument. "okay," I stand up and stand on my tippy toes to see eye to eye , "First of all, you have to right to invade my privacy, " I grab a chair so I'm taller than you, " And second, I've your superior since I have a higher rank, so you have to right to talk down to me, got it?" I meet your gaze evenly, the tension palpable in the air. "Fair enough," I concede, recognizing your points. "I'll respect your privacy, and I won't talk down to you."

This brief exchange has revealed a new layer to our relationship, one where we're not just rivals but colleagues trying to find a way to work together. With a nod, she returns to her desk, ready to focus on the project and see how this collaboration unfolds. "Thank you." I watch as she gets off the chair and puts it back. " Oh and just because you're taller than me, doesn't mean you can be rude" She says, continuing her work. You're absolutely right," I reply sincerely. "I'll work on being more considerate." With that, I return to my own tasks, and for the first time in a long while, the office seems a little less hostile. Our rivalry may not have disappeared entirely, but there's a glimmer of something else beginning to form - a more cooperative and understanding relationship between us.

As we continue to work in silence, I can't help but think about the recent turn of events. After a while, I decided to break the silence with a more conciliatory tone. "Hey," I begin, "I know we've had our differences, but I appreciate your honesty, and I'm sorry for any past behaviors that may have contributed to the tension between us."

This gesture signifies a willingness on both our parts to move beyond the rivalry and toward a more cooperative working relationship.

"Are you being serious right now? Like, you're not joking?" She says in shock. I look at you sincerely, my expression earnest.  Oh man, what did I get myself into?
