(NOT MY ART)

"I'm absolutely serious. I think it's time we put the rivalry behind us and focus on working together effectively. We can achieve more as a team than as adversaries."

The sincerity in my words reflects my genuine desire to improve our working relationship and make our collaboration more productive. "A-ah, well thank you... I guess" She stutters, "Would you like to go and watch a new horror movie coming out? You like Horror, right?" She questions.

I nod with a smile. "I do enjoy horror movies, and that sounds like a fun idea. Let's put our rivalry on hold for a while and enjoy a movie night. When's the movie coming out?"

This invitation represents a significant shift in our relationship, and it's a positive step toward building a more amicable connection outside of the office. I can tell she's struggling when she hasn't responded for almost two minutes now.

"No worries," I reassure you. "We can look up some upcoming releases and pick one that catches our interest. It's all about enjoying the experience, right?"

We could take a moment to browse and choose a movie together, discussing our preferences and expectations, which could be a great way to start building a new rapport. "Realy?" She says as she looks up, "Thanks!" Her beautiful (E/C) eyes sparkle in the sun.

"You're welcome! Let's make a plan to find a movie and have a great time. It's a positive step forward, and I'm looking forward to our movie night. If you have any questions or want to discuss movie options later, feel free to reach out." I told her. "Wait, 2 adults + movie = oh no, I just realized I'm practically asking you out!" I can't help but notice she got all flustered at this realization. I chuckle at your realization. "Well, it does seem like we're making plans outside of work, but it doesn't have to be a big deal. We're just two colleagues getting to know each other better. If it makes you uncomfortable, we can keep it strictly business, no hard feelings. I want to ensure you're comfortable with our plans, and I'm open to adjusting them if necessary." Great, just reassure her, it's not a date... oh wait... it's a date with her... I start to feel my face heat up as I walk back to my desk. I can start to feel eyes on me, and I turn only to find Y/N looking at me. "Hey," She gets closer, "Are you okay?" I can feel my face heat up more, you would too if you had a girl this close to you. I clear my throat, trying to regain composure. "Yeah, I'm fine, just wasn't expecting that twist in our conversation." I offer a friendly smile. "But if you're comfortable with it, I'm still up for the movie. No pressure either way." "Okay then weirdo" She says as she starts to walk away. I can feel a smile creasing my lips. I chuckle at the playful name-calling, feeling the tension between us continue to dissipate. "See you later, 'weirdo,'" I reply with a grin, acknowledging the progress we've made. As you walk away, I return to my work, looking forward to our movie night and the potential for a more positive relationship in the future. "Okay then" She calls as she sits back down. With a smile, I focus on my work, appreciating the small but significant shift in our relationship. It's a step in the right direction, and I look forward to our movie night and whatever else the future may hold in our evolving connection. "Oh and can I have your number so I can contact you about the movie time?" She says as she throws a somewhat playful wink. I chuckle at your request and wink in return. "Of course, I'd be happy to share my number with my future movie buddy." Really? Buddy? That sounded so much better in my head. In reality, it just sounded like a teenage boy flirting with his crush, and Y/N is NOT my crush and I am fully grown, not a teenager.

I quickly write down my number on a piece of paper and hand it to Y/N. "Just text me when you have the movie details, and we'll plan our horror movie night. See you later,"

I say with a hopefully friendly wave. As you go about your work, I return to mine, looking forward to our upcoming movie night and the possibility of a more sturdy friendship. As I sit back down I feel something vibrating in my pocket, I grab my phone to see a text from an unknown number saying 'Hi, it's me Mickey mouse! Kidding, wassup it's me Y/N L/N coworker and if i got the wrong number block me immediately. Thx.😁' I smile at my phone and text back:

'You got it correct, This is Tabachi Mifuyu. Are your plans still open?' I sent it and expect no texts back. I begin to put my phone down, only for it to ding again with a new text. I look at my device with a new message from Y/N :

'Kay good! I was worried for a sec, well how about we watch the new horror flick on Saturday, idk maybe like 3 at my place?'

I read her text and realized... just how many typos she made. God damn Y/N how messed are you? At least I use proper grammar when texting. She should treat this like an email, and just because you're texting, it's not an exception for such improper grammar. I really hate her... right? Yeah, I hate her... totally! God damn it, got side-tracked again! Respond already Tabachi! I quickly type something up along the lines of: 'That sounds just peachy!' Nope, no way in hell will I send that. Peachy? That sounds so corny! "Ugh"

I let out an audible groan. What else would I say? oH, hOw I wOuLd LoVe To WaTcH A mOvIe WiTh YoU Y/N. Yeah right. Maybe I should wait to rep- My train of thought had crashed when I received another text from Y/N. 'actually scratch that; there's a good movie theater with reclining seats and good popcorn near the office; maybe we should go there instead. idk u choose' Oh no, I didn't plan this far ahead, I thought she would just choose something and I would go along. Quick! What do I choose? I quickly send a messy text, that usually doesn't meet my standards but hey, sometimes you gotta do, what you gotta do. 'the theater near the office with reclining seats and decent popcorn sounds nice. Ill keep it in mund' I quickly send it before I can correct the typos. Ah crap! This looks like shit. Complete and utter shit. She probably thinks someone stole my phone or that the person who sent that text is an imposter.

Y/N'S POV

Huh? Is something wrong with him today? He might have just been typing too fast, but that doesn't sound like something he would do... "Hmmm" You know what? Nevermind that, at least he's loosening up a bit and isn't too serious.
