Chapter 10

Narrator POV
The mission was completed and everyone went home as expected. They got to the leaf village around 8:30 pm, so they went straight to bed because they were obviously tired. But things didn't go to well for Naruto because he was awaken because of a knock on his door. 'Ugh, I can't even sleep nowadays can I?!' He thought to himself while walking to open the door, but before he opened there was a voice "Fox, you were summoned by lady-Tsunade" it was shadow, his coworker. "I be there" and shadow left, he was thankful that shadow spoke first before he open the door because not even his coworkers knew who he was when he had his mask on as an ANBU.

Naruto's POV
I got ready and went to the hokage's office. "You needed me hokage-sama?" I ask while kneeling in one knee respectively. "Yes fox, team 7 will be going on a C-rank mission but it can turn into a A-rank mission, so I need you to protect them if needed." Now, she didn't know who I was either because I was a basically a Root ANBU so she couldn't know who I was. (I know, I just made that up but bare with me pls) That meaning she didn't know she send me to protect my own team, "the mission will be tomorrow in the morning, so be ready." And with that she dismissed me and I sunshine to my house. "What was that.." I said while spacing out in my own thoughts.

Next morning came and I was ready and waiting for team 7 to arrive. I had made an excuse that I was sick and couldn't go to the mission today, so I could go as an ANBU. First arrive Sakura then Sasuke, I was hiding in top of a tree so they didn't know I was there. "So, do you know about that ANBU that they send with us?" Sakura ask Sasuke, "no but, I do know that they are taking forever like Kakashi." Said Sasuke with a 'tch' but that was normal. Then one hour later came Kakashi, "Yo" said Kakashi while closing his eye in a smile. "So your here, but that ANBU is not?!.. they are even worse than you!" Said Sakura and Sasuke, I was gonna make myself notice but I wanted to wait and see what they were going to talk about.

"Hmm, now that you mentioned it, you're right. Is weird for anyone to arrive after me" said Kakashi, and I swear I had to hold on my laugh. "Ugh, anyways what about Naruto, lady Tsunade said that he was sick and couldn't go to the mission but that's weird from him.." said Sakura and I felt my body tense 'oh please don't connect the ANBU with me!" I thought while sweating. "Yeah your right, he can be half dead and he wouldn't miss a mission" Sasuke said 'your not helping teme!' "Well you guys may be right but there's nothing we can do." Kakashi said and I sigh 'oh thanks god and Kakashi!' I thought once again while cleaning a sweat drop from my forehead.

I decided to make my self notice, "hey..nice day isn't it?" I said trying to make them think I was just late and not a creep watching them talk while hiding. "YOUR LATE!" Both Sasuke and Sakura scream at me, "relax, I just run with some trouble" I said "well it surprises me that you were even later than me." Said kakashi looking up at me since I was still in the tree. "Hehe..yeah well let's just finish this mission already" I said jumping down and walking out of the gates.
