2 days later

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two days had elapsed, and I found myself in a bit of a quandary. Despite my desires and the simmering tension between the two brothers, Hakim and Mars, I hadn't made any moves yet. However, I held onto the hope that our upcoming trip to the Eiffel Tower might just change that.

The day prior, Adil had made an exciting announcement about his upcoming movie project to the rest of the family. They all showered him with congratulations, oblivious to the intriguing events that had unfolded the previous night.

Once again, we embarked on a car journey, which would take us approximately 45 minutes to reach our destination.

As we embarked on our journey to the Eiffel Tower, the atmosphere in the car was a blend of excitement and anticipation. Hakim and I sat side by side in the front seats, the perfect opportunity to engage in a bit of playful teasing.

I couldn't resist the urge to provoke him a little, so I turned to Hakim with a sly grin. "Hakim," I began, my voice laced with mischievous intent, "you know, I've heard that kissing under the Eiffel Tower is supposed to bring good luck."

Hakim's eyes widened in surprise before he shot me a playful smirk. "Is that so, Alfred? And who told you this intriguing piece of information?"

I shrugged casually, leaning in closer. "Oh, you know, just something I read in a travel magazine. But they say it only works if it's a real, romantic kiss."

His eyebrows arched, and a glint of challenge danced in his eyes. "Well, in that case, I suppose we wouldn't want to tempt fate, would we?"

As Hakim's lips hovered tantalizingly close to mine, a charged silence filled the air. We both felt the magnetic pull of the moment, our eyes locked in a playful standoff.

Seconds stretched into moments, and then, with a burst of laughter, we both pulled away, breaking the spell that had enveloped us.

We shared a giggle, the tension between us only growing stronger. It was as if the universe itself was conspiring to keep us on the brink of something more, something that had been building for far too long. It had been such a long time I've talked to Hakim with a real feeling of fun.

After 5 more minutes, we finally made it to the tower. The majestic structure loomed above us, its intricate ironwork reaching for the skies. We met with the rest of the family and began to explore, taking pictures, playing with the kids, and soaking in the enchanting atmosphere of the Eiffel Tower.

As the day continued, the clock ticked away, and it was now 16:46. Most of the typical tourist activities had been checked off our list, leaving only the main event - our family picnic. We found a picturesque spot nearby and gathered together on a long picnic blanket.

I sat between Hakim and Mars, feeling a unique connection between them. Mars playfully teased me, saying, "Alfred, Hakim and I practically grew up here. We know this tower better than our own bedrooms."

Hakim chimed in, "Yeah, we used to race up those stairs like maniacs."

Their stories painted vivid images in my mind, and I couldn't help but smile. "Sounds like you guys have some incredible memories here."

Mars nodded, his gaze on the tower. "Paris holds a special place in our hearts."

We savored our French picnic while the Eiffel Tower prepared for its nightly light show. It began to shimmer and twinkle, creating a magical backdrop.

Mars leaned closer, his voice carrying a seductive note. "Alfred, as amazing as this place is, your smile outshines even the Eiffel Tower."

Blushing, I replied, "Mars, you always know how to make me blush."

Mars' fingers brushed mine, and he suggested, "How about a stroll around the Eiffel Tower after our meal? Just you and me?"

My heart skipped a beat. "I'd love that, Mars."

After excusing ourselves from the picnic, Mars and I wandered through the enchanting streets of Paris. The Eiffel Tower, bathed in a soft, romantic glow, watched over us like a silent guardian of love.

As we walked we stumbled upon a quaint horse-drawn carriage awaiting passengers. The sight of it ignited a spark of adventure in our hearts. We got on and we were told it was gonna be a 15 minute ride. Enough time to talk.

I grinned mischievously, letting my fingers playfully trace patterns on Mars' hand. "Well, you know, Mars, Paris is known as the City of Love. It's the perfect place for romance."

He chuckled, a hint of blush on his cheeks. "Are you saying you want to be my tour guide in the city of love?"

I leaned in closer, our shoulders brushing. "Maybe. Would you like that?"

Mars didn't answer immediately. Instead, he looked at me with those captivating eyes of his, filled with a mixture of curiosity and desire. "What kind of tour guide are we talking about here?"

I let out a soft laugh, enjoying the playful banter. "Oh, you know, the kind that shows you all the hidden gems of the city, the most romantic spots, and, well, maybe even a few surprises along the way."

He raised an eyebrow, a playful glint in his eye. "Surprises, you say?"

I nodded, my voice dropping to a sultrier tone. "Mmm-hmm. But those are for special occasions, Mars."

He leaned in, his lips brushing my ear as he whispered, "And what would constitute a special occasion, Alfred?"

My heart raced, and I couldn't deny the chemistry between us. "I guess we'll have to wait and see, won't we?"

Mars was wearing Nike Tech, so it was hard to tell if he felt a rush from it, but his expression already spoke volumes. This was already enough teasing for today.<

In that moment, I felt more confident than I had ever felt before.
