Truth or Drink
Everybody was in an uproar about the score of the game, we were currently playing Taboo. "How about we do a tie breaker, who ever gets the most points before the timer goes off wins?" Ace's girl spoke from his lap.
I almost rolled my eyes at the sound of her voice, bitch shut up.
She hadn't done anything to me but I was annoyed by her. The way she seemed to be the center of attention all night and just the way everyone gravitated towards her.
Standing up, I found my way to the kitchen, I needed a drink. Ashley came behind me, "You good?" She questioned as she made a drink of her own.
I frowned confused but not for real, I knew exactly what she was talking about. "Yeah why wouldn't I be?"
"Bitch be for real." She said seriously.
I continued to act like I wasn't moved by what was taking place, "I'm cool, he's happy and I'm happy for him. It's been two years going on three, and we've both moved on." I said
She put her hands up to say she was stepping down from the conversation, "Okay if that's how you really feel." She said.
I didn't feel that way at all, I was bothered and I had no right to feel that way. What was I still holding on to after all these years?
I guess it's because he was the only boy I had ever had a real, long lasting relationship with. From the age 14 to 19. Was I being childish for holding on to the past while everyone else was telling me to move on?
My drink was made. I walked back in on them playing a new game, Truth or drink. They were going around the room asking questions, it was now on Ace and his girl.
"When was the last time y'all had sex? Tell the truth or drink." The person next to them asked making everyone start instigating with ooo's and ahh's. I cringed inside.
I didn't want hear or think about what they did in the bedroom. It took everything in me not to cover my ears like a child.
"Earlier today." He answered making everyone go into an uproar, the guys were dapping him up and the girls were hyping her up.
She took a sip of her drink to hide the fact she was blushing.
I downed my drink.
Then I stood from the couch to go make a new drink. When I returned it was almost my turn.
The two people before me went and now it was my turn. I took a big gulp of my drink. Trina cleared her throat preparing to ask me the question she'd pulled from the cup.
"Who's the best looking person in here? Tell the truth or drink." Everyone "oooed".
I looked around catching eyes with Ace, and as bold as my drink had me feeling I wasn't that far gone to point him out. I settled for finishing my drink. "I'll drink." I stated.
"You're no fun, I wanted to know your answer." Ace's girlfriend said and everybody started agreeing.
I ignored her comment.
The cup was passed to me, I pulled the question and asked it to the person next to me, which was Ashley. "What's the biggest secret you've ever hid from a friend? Tell the truth or drink." She looked like she was debating on whether she should drink or tell.
"Uhh that I was dating her brother." She said and everyone started stating their opinions on the situation. I didn't think twice about it because I knew she wasn't talking about my brother.
