HIS REGRET

Chapter 3:

I felt a warm body lying on me. I knew exactly who it was without even opening my eyes. I pulled her closer to my body and kissed her forehead "Good morning baby" I said.

"Good Morning ,mumma" she said giving a kiss on my chin. The thing my mom said came back to me ,I know she needs a father figure in her life ,no matter how much I tell myself that I'm enough for her I know I'm not ,just for that reason I'm seriously thinking about this marriage

"Ready for the Wedding " I asked her to distract myself from these thoughts. She scrunched her face in disagreement .Zoya is always ready for stuff like this ,I don't know what's wrong with her today ."Why baby ? are you not feeling well ?"I asked her placing the backside of my palm on her head for that she shook her head ."No momma I just don't want to go and meet that khadus uncle again" Not that even I want to go ,I just can't skip all the other events like before as Prerana is my cousin who I desperately hate and that's not because I'm jealous or something ,it is because she has a devil face only few know about and that one of the few being me and Ahaan's father and my father are childhood friends .But Kadhus uncle interesting ."Which uncle baby are we speaking about ?"

"The one that is getting married" she said. My first instinct was to smash that piece of shit but I know I have to calm down because I'm an adult and I'm telling you being adult sucks ."What did he do ?"I asked very calmly which is quite opposite from what I'm feeling ."Druv mamu and I went to mall before and he snatched my gummy bears from me .He is such a liar, when mamu asked what happened he said that I was stealing from him when I didn't .Mamu later said me that he is bad and I shouldn't speak to him and now we are going to his marriage .I don't want to see that liar" she finished with a pout .It was adorable if I'm not trying to laugh at the fact that Ahaan pretended to steal stuff from her just to have a conversation with Druv .Of course I know why he would do that without even witnessing and i hate that I know him even after 10 fucking years .Hell he even hate those gummy bears.

Suddenly something slammed against my door-not something but someone-my dear mom. "Get up Anvi its already late we should be soon at the venue " she shouted at me ."And Zoya baby ,come with nanni ,today will be nanni getting you ready " she said so softly as if she didn't just shout at me .I say Double standards. Just as Zoya leaves I see Druv coming in. He just plops on my bed beside me and doesn't say anything for a while."Did mom speak to you?" he asked me." Hm, she did and you being a good brother you didn't give her space to emotionally blackmail me at all" sarcasm dripping from my tone." Sorry yaar, she threatened me that she will not allow me to go to that Paris trip and you know how important it is and I know its not like she is getting married you today right so I just let her" he seems genuinely apologetic, I was just making fun here." Hey ,Its ok I was just kidding you and Dad said he would also participate in scaring away the grooms so no problem" I said with a chuckle. "Then add me also in that list of people we will scare them all away" he said kissing my fore head .We just stayed silently for a while then I asked him "But I'm actually thinking about getting married you know for Zoha ,no matter what I do I can't be her father and she deserves the world. I think I can do this for her ,I guess but I'm not really sure" Druv looks amazed "I won't lie to you about Zoha needing a proper father figure but just because of that, you don't need to get married we are there for you ,for her always .Think about it I'm here whatever you choose ok?" I just nod I don't know what really to say its like Druv has every answer for my questions.

"Will there be any scene today like last time in his engagement ? You have no idea how happy it was to see him like that." Druv said. I shook my head negatively." Let him enjoy his wedding at least and more over I don't want to do anything with him. Last time I don't know what got into me I probably wanted to show him how actual betrayal feels like" Druv just nods his head. I know he misses his dear friend but he just loves his sister more. To lighten the mood "How is Riya ?" Riya is Druv's girlfriend of 5 years now but she is also sister of Ahaan and the brother sis duo love each other a lot.Without Ahaan's approval they can't marry each other.That's the reason Druv hasn't proposed her yet."I think you should propose to her, that ring on your desk is waiting for its owner for a long time and the owner is also waiting for a long time.As in you are already boring what if she finds someone who is more intresting, hm,I just can't see you with beard and beet bottle in your hand and I'm definitely not coming to pick your drunken ass from some shady bars Got it.Get my Bhabi home" I give him a pointed look ."Yes Madam" he gets up from the bed, fake salutes me and leaves.I get up from my bed and move towards the bathroom to get ready.Its going to be a long day I can feel it.
