Chapter 12

Alexa's POV:

Ever since the dinner we had Shawn has been really distant. I'm pretty sure its has to do with his dad. I have to talk to him or someone about his dad.

I got in the car that my parents finally bought me. It was a black matte Tesla. I drove over to there house. When I pulled up everyones car was there. I walked up to the house and knocked. I could hear guys laughing and talking. Nash opened the door and was shocked.

"Hey-- Alexa" he said when he looked at me.

"Shawn where's Shawn" I said walking into the house and looking around.

I saw all the guys were either in the living room or in the kitchen. They all looked at me and didn't say anything but shawn isn't there. I immediately go up stairs and try to find his room.

"Shawn!" I yell and I finally find his room.

I walk into his room and he is sitting on his bed on his phone. That pissed me off even more cause it has been like 3 days and he is on his phone laying in bed without a care in the world. I called, texted, left voicemails and he didn't respond to any.

"Alexa" Shawn said looking at me with his eyes wide.

Nash, Sammy, Cameron, and Gilinsky came in after me. Shawn gestured them to leave that it was okay. They left and Shawn walked over and closed the door.

"Listen lex" he started but I cut him off.

"No! You haven't returned any of my calls or texts and I come in and your sitting on your phone not a care in the world. I tried talking to you at school and you ignore me. What is with you shawn? I know what my mom said was bad but-" I got cut off by Shawn.

"No you don't know anything Alexa! You barely know half of my life!" He said yelling really loud which made me flinch a bit.

"Then tell me! Enlighten me Shawn! I'm your girlfriend we are not supposed to keep secrets from each other" I said lower my voice a little.

"If I tell you you won't want to be with me anymore" he said looking down.

"You don't know that" I said coming over to him and putting my hand on his cheek.

"No!" He said pulling my hand away from his face "I am nothing but bad news for you lex... look at what happen with only being one day with me" he said pointing at my arm which had the cut on it.

"That wasn't you fault You weren't the one who drank the spiked drink I had a choice and I choosed the bad one" I said.

"I'm sorry its just... when somone mentions my dad I get mad and i can't control my self and I push people away" he said coming up to me "and I shouldn't push you away" he said leaning down and kissing me.

"Will you tell me about him" I said

Shawn nodded and sat down on the bed and tapped the spot next to him so that I could sit down.

"It all started when I was little... My dad would abuse me and my mom physically and emotionally... He was apart of this gang called G121 they were the biggest and baddest gang in the country... He did drugs, smoked, and got drunk every night, my mom finally kicked him out and I never seen him since... Then apparently on the news it said "Manuel mendes shot in Florida" and even though he was mean to me and my mom it still hurt that my father is dead" he said looking down tearing up a little.

"Hey hey its okay I know how it feels I lost both of mine and look where it got me two amazing foster parents and a foster brother and a amazing boyfriend... The best comes out from the bad..." I said to him.
