"That," Klaus points to the joints in her hand, "is how we protect ourselves from vampires, or at least I think so."

"You think?" Vicki asks him.

"My part time work helping Zach showed me his secret garden, considering his 'nephew' is a vampire and he hasn't killed me, I think it will help," Klaus takes a joint from Caroline.

"What's it called?" Vicki asks as Caroline handed her a joint.

"Vervain," Klaus says.

Klaus shrugs, looking at Stefan quickly to see the same face as Damon but bloodier, with headless bodies surrounding him. Well, except for his dad, Greyson, who decided to show up at that very moment leaning over Stefan with an appreciative look on his face.

"Dead or alive, you are by far the most useless man alive when giving any information, or being helpful," he spats at his Dad, going to slap him when his hand goes through him. Looking down at his hand, Klaus gulps. He's never tried to touch them before. His hand is glowing blue. "Did you feel that..." he trails off noticing his Dad is gone. He brings his hand up again, eyes wide, "The fuck?"

"Oh, my God, your hand," Elena snaps back to Stefan trying to grab his hand. Vicki and Klaus watch as Stefan closes his palm and puts his hand behind his back. The blood noticeable to them.

"Looks like we got a night of research on our hands," Klaus informs Vicki.

"Why do you say that?"

"We're human with no strength, and he can heal fast."

"But we're protected," she protests.

"And how much do you trust that protection?" He asks her.

"You're following the ghost of your dead Dad?" Caroline slowly asks, "You sure that's safe?" Vicki asks again.

"No, but I'm sure it's safer than Stefan," he says, turning the corner to see his Dad disappear right in front of Tanners dead body.

They gasp.

"Somebody help!" Caroline shrieks running to find help as Klaus walks over to Tanners body, seeing two punctures on his neck.

Touching his neck, Klaus chokes, seeing Stefan and Damon arguing before Damon speeds to Tanner and bites his neck. The pain quickly shoots to Klaus's neck, causing him to hunch over, crying before a scream rips it's way through his body, before passing out, not realizing how loud that scream was to everyone, Vicki and him laying over one another, both passed out, last thing they hear is police sirens and Caroline's voice, begging them to stay awake.
