"He's coming," she says, her voice as monotone as her face.

"I'm fine," Klaus quips with a wide grin, looking at his friends, both of them desiccated in his fearful eyes.

Caroline and Klaus stop, "Witches? Bonnies supposed to be one," Caroline suggests.

"No more witch jokes, ok? That whole Mr. Tanner prediction thing has me freaked," Bonnie stressed.

"Then we'll be going," Klaus says, quickly grabbing Caroline and walking past Damon who eyes the boy weirdly. He's never smelt someone like that before. His blood smelled so sweet, like cotton candy or butterscotch. But his skin, his skin smelled like spices.

"The pocket watch. Where is it?" Elena demands glaring at him.

Elena watches them, making eye contact with Vicki and Caroline before setting the watch down on his desk and leaving timidly.

Damon sighs, shrugging, "Dying for a woman is honorable."

"Was the girl?" Klaus asks. "Would the girl be worth it?"

Damon looks at Elena and Stefan as they walk into the room, looking Elena over quickly before looking back at Klaus, "Always."

And suddenly everyone in the room is desiccating before Klaus's eyes, something that has been thankfully gone for majority of the day, or at least was easy to ignore.

Stefan was on fire. Damon snd Elena only half desiccated. Caroline desiccated. And Vicki a desiccated but grayer, bugs coming from every hole on her face.

Was the girl worth it?

He looks Damon in his red eyes and slowly shakes his head, "Never."

Klaus opens his eyes, blinking rapidly at the room he was in. "Why am I back at the Lockwood Mansion?" He leaves the room only to enter a brand new one with all of his friends parents in the room.

"Thank you for staying so late," Mayor Lockwood says.

"Did you get the Gilbert watch?" Sheriff Forbes asks Mrs. Lockwood. Klaus looks down at his neck feeling a necklace he's never had on before. He take it out of his shirt to see it's the watch that was once his Dads.

"She claims it's packed away in her parents' things," Mrs. Lockwood rolls her eyes, annoyed that Elena wasn't doing as she was being told.

"I can get it," Logan said.
