Camilo got done with the tour within about two hours. As the two teens walked out of Camilo’s room and into the main area of the house, they noticed the conversation seemed to be about them. “Camilo has been acting different ever since they met!” Pepa happily exclaimed, clapping her hands. “Like, during dinner he didn’t eat as much!” “And did you notice how he took her hand as they were leaving the room for that tour!” Camilo’s father added, just as excited.

Bryanna turned to Camilo, whose face was red and he was uncomfortable. Bryanna smiled and took his hand. “It’s okay.” She whispered. Camilo blushed when her hand took his.

They both went downstairs and the conversation ceased almost immediately. “Hey, you two. How are you?” “we’re fine, Mama?” Camilo hesitantly replied, not knowing why she had asked that.

“Bryanna! We’re leaving.” Bryanna’s dad said in a slightly raised voice. “Yes, father.” Bryanna hung her head before turning to Camilo and smiling. “Thank you for giving me a tour of the Casita.”

Camilo nodded. “Yeah. Of course.” He nervously said. Bryanna giggled at his cuteness. Then, turned around and went to Julieta.

“Thank you for dinner, JUlieta.” Bryanna smiled. Julieta pulled Bryanna into a hug, who gladly hugged back. They both pulled away and JUlieta smiled caringly at Bryanna. “Of course, Querida” ( Querida = darling )

“Bryanna!” Bryanna’s dad yelled, causing Bryanna to jump. “Coming.” She quietly said back. Before remembering something that Camilo had told her during dinner. “Dolores can hear almost EVERYTHING.” Camilo had told her.

Bryanna looked to Dolores, who had her hands over her ears from Bryanna’s dad’s yelling. “Dolores.” She breathed.

Dolores looked to her. Bryanna’s eyes widened and a smile over took her face. “Did. Did you hear him yelling at me at my house?” She whispered under her breath. Dolores looked to Bryanna’s dad then back to her, before nodding.

Tears started to form in Bryanna’s eyes. She quickly wiped them away. “Help me get away from him. Please. I’m begging you, Dolores. For me and my baby.” Bryanna’s hand went to her stomach as she spoke.

Dolores gave a nervous face at her mother. Pepe saw it. Dolores looked at Bryanna, the nervous face now plastered on both their faces.

Pepa knew what Dolores meant and turned to Bryanna’s dad, a small rain cloud forming over her head. “Bryanna should stay the night here. She can have a sleepover with Isabella, Dolores, Mirabel and whoever else also wants to join.” Pepa explained.

Bryanna looked to her father. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him. Camilo took a step forward to help Bryanna, but his sister stopped him. “You can stay. But only because I don’t want my morning to be messed up by seeing you. But I swear on your life, if you tell them anything about your home life. You will never leave that godforsaken house we moved into. You understand, you little whore?” Bryanna’s dad hissed. Bryanna nodded frantically.

“Well. You can stay the night, then.” He put on a nice act. “Thank you, father.” Bryanna tried not to smile.

“Well. We are gonna leave now.” Bryanna’s mom said. Bryanna’s parents both left.

As soon as they left, Bryanna ran to Dolores and tackled her. “Ay Dios Mio! (Ay Dios Mio = Oh my God) Thank you so much, Dolores!” Dolores smiled at the crying young girl hugging and thanking her.

“Of course, Bryanna.” Dolores softly said. “Good quick thinking.” She added.

Camilo came over and brought Bryanna off of Dolores and held her, as she cried.
