Author's Note: Sorry 'bout that cliffhanger thing. This next chapter contains self harm. I do not encourage or support it. I went through it, and if you dare do something stupid like that I will personally stop you. Hiro is my favorite but my heart says it is needed to be this way.
"I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!" I yelled, fumbling for the razor.
You betrayed him...
"NOOO!" Tried so hard to drown out the voices. Red sprung up on my arm.
He will never love you...
Crimson blood dripped into the sink. No one was home to hear my screams. Pains of all different kinds fought for dominance inside of me.
Tears stung in my eyes.
Hiro! Hiro...
He was calling for me. But I couldn't help him. He was long gone.
"Hiro Hamada, it is me, Tadashi! I didn't die!"
"Yes, you did die. In a fire. I can't help you now. Go wherever spirits go. I...I'm sorry!" I whispered.
"Oh my, Hiro, you're losing a lot of blood, hang in there... Aunt Cas!"
"She's gone to work..." I explained. "But I'm fine. Go home Tadashi. You aren't even real..."
Something warm and gentle pressed against my lips.
"I am real, Nerd. And I didn't die. I ran out at the last minute. I had amnesia for a while, but I finally found you."
Through the haze, I saw his familiar face. I tentatively reached out, ready for him to disappear.
He didn't.
Tadashi's POV
I missed him so much that when he reached up and kissed me, I didn't care. He recognized me. He loved me. He didn't forget me. I kissed back, filled with the joy of billions.
I sat him up against a wall. His whole left arm was bloody. Cuts. So many... Was this all for me, the missing brother? I hated myself for not finding him faster.
I held him afterward, his arm in a bandage. I cooed to him, trying to calm Hiro down.
"Tadashi is here" I'd say.
"And he loves you with all his heart."
"Hell, he will never leave you."
Finally, he fell asleep against my chest. I wondered if that kiss was real. Were we just caught up in the moment?
I kissed Hiro's hair. "Goodnight, my Genius."
Author's Note: Get ready for the deep end.
