Five years later...
"MOM! STOP! I'm 6 years old!" Aspen complained as Willow sobbed.
"Ohh my little Aspen is all grown up!"
"Sooo... do you even want to meet him?" Aspen asked, annoyed.
"Yeah, Your Mom's just.. being emotional." Sundew teased. "Now show him to us!"
A mint colored green dragon with brown and gold streaks walked slowly from the bushes.
"Hi! I'm Birch! Aspen's boyfriend." He grinned. He looks okay. Aspen looks like she likes him a lot and he looks like he loves her even more... Sundew thought. Aspen grinned back at him, her freckled nose scales shining in the sun.
A few weeks later..
Willow walked into their cozy treehouse. She looked into their homemade nursery where Aspen grew up. The egg had one huge, dark crack in it.
"BLUE! CRICKET! EVERYONE! IT'S HATCHING!" She yelled. Aspen, Sundew, Blue, Cricket, and Birch came running in. Cricket crooned at it, happier than ever. Blue leaned over it, nervous.
Another huge crack appeared, and as it spread, they heard a pecking noise. Suddenly, a baby dragonet tumbled from the egg. Cricket lunged and caught it. Bumblebee stood frowning at the dragonet. Now Cricket will like her real baby better than me! She thought, grumpy.
"Bumblebee! Come meet your baby sister!" Cricket called.
"Her name is Aquamarine." As Bumblebee gazed at her new sister, feelings of love suddenly came over her. She picked Aquamarine up and kissed her on the snout.
"I love you, baby sister." She murmured into Aquamarine's ear.
