The Idol who can't smile

Chapter 13.

With a furrowed brow, I looked at the taller man. The camera was off, and Minji had been talking to him for what felt like an eternity. Meanwhile, I was still by the drinks with Danielle and Haerin, while Hyein and Hanni had just gone to the restroom. I gripped my water bottle tighter as I continued to watch the two of them.

"Wow... are you jealous?" Danielle asked hesitantly, her eyes widening as she looked at me. I immediately turned to her, which made her fall silent. Haerin, on the other hand, chuckled softly. "Unnie, it was about time you got jealous," the younger one said, flashing a broad smile. My forehead, however, creased.

"I'm not jealous," I replied, my voice slightly deeper than usual. I unscrewed the bottle and took several sips from it. My eyes returned to Minji and this Felix guy. I watched as Felix started laughing, and Minji bowed multiple times afterward.

My brow furrowed even more. "What are they talking about?" I asked curiously. Danielle shrugged beside me. She was scrolling through her phone, as we seemed to have a lot of free time now. But I couldn't take my eyes off Minji. So, I headed over to them.

Naturally, I wrapped my arm around her waist, but my gaze was fixed on the taller man. My eyes were still somewhat narrowed. "Oh, Unnie," I heard Minji say, and I could feel her tensing up. I looked at her. "Hanni's up to her usual antics," I said, and Minji immediately looked around, her expression filled with concern.

However, my eyes quickly returned to this Felix guy, who started nervously laughing. His leader called him over, causing him to almost flee from Minji and me. I removed my hand from Minji's hip, but she didn't even seem to notice. She continued to look around.

My arms crossed over my chest, but before I could say a word, Minji found Hanni with her eyes and quickly made her way over to her. I followed the taller girl immediately. We'll talk about this later!

"What did you do?" Minji asked in a whisper, and Hanni's eyes widened. She quickly looked at Hyein and nervously smiled. "It was already halfway broken," Hanni said quietly. My mouth opened slightly, as it seemed like just an excuse, but it turned out to be the truth.

Minji sighed and demanded to see the damage. I just watched the two of them as they went into the bathroom together. My jaw tensed automatically.

With my phone in hand, I sat in our van as we were heading back to our dorm. My eyes narrowed. Hyein had placed her head on my shoulder, her eyes closed. I had my Airpods in my ears to avoid disturbing anyone, as it was already quite late.

I was watching several videos, mostly Jealous and Shipping videos. The main couples featured were Danielle and Haerin, and Minji with Hanni. My jaw tensed as I watched all the videos. The music and how the person interpreted the looks and touches made me really angry.

I knew it wasn't true. But it still hurt when my girlfriend was shipped with someone else, especially someone we interacted with every day. I glanced up from my phone and looked ahead. My eyes fell on Minji, Haerin, and Hanni. Minji had her head on Hanni's shoulder, probably resting. Hanni was looking out the window.

My lips pressed together as I returned my gaze to my phone. It seemed like I couldn't escape these shipping videos. Sometimes I found a video about Minji and me, as most people noticed that I started smiling more because of Minji. But shortly after, more videos emerged where Minji was shipped with Hanni or even Haerin.

I put my phone away since I could feel myself getting increasingly upset. It didn't take long for us to finally arrive and slowly get out. I gently shook the youngest among us until she lifted her head from my shoulder. She looked at me sleepily.
