Camilo sometimes has to lie
He does to keep his abilities secret
He hates it but that how his life is thanks to all his new powers
So when Pepa his mother started asking about his new limiters and glasses he knew it was that time again
"Camilo why have you been wearing those….. green glasses and antennas" Pepa asked
"Oh……..well…..there…gifts from a friend……" Camilo replied hoping she would believe the lie
"Why are you so……. Hesitant" Pepa asked with a stern tone
"I wasn't……" Camilo quickly replied
"You're lying I NEVER want you to lie to me now tell me why are you wearing them" Pepa scolded
Camilo had to act fast
But how
"Yeah you're right I should just believe you" Pepa said in an apologetic tone
He didn't want to have to mind control her but he didn't have another choice
"Sorry Camilo" Pepa apologized
"It's fine mami" Camilo replied
He was just happy for that to be over
But he wasn't out of the woods yet
"Camilo may I speak with you"
His abuela was his next opponent
"Yeah abuela what do you need" Camilo asked
"Bruno says that he saw you shapeshift into mirabel and lead some teen I to an alleyway" Alma said
"He asked for directions" Camilo replied
"But why did you shapeshift into Mirabel" Alma replied
"Because someone needed me as Mirabel so I just shapeshifted then" Camilo replied
"Strange but ok" Alma said as she walked off
He managed go get through breakfast before getting basically Interrogated again
"Ay Camilo which friend gave those to you" Felix questioned
/this is bad…… I hangout with my friends like…… once a month…… I need new friends……/ Camilo complained internally
"My friend Kusuo" Camilo replied stating a fake name
"Huh you'll have to bring him over sometime here soon" Felix said with a smile
And once again he was off the hook
