"How does Max calm Amelia's anxiety when they are out in public?"

It was the off-season and Max and Amelia were spending some time out in Max's home state of California. They were staying with Max's family in Santa Monica. There was a restaurant called Malibu Farms that Amelia wanted to go and try and Max obliged and said "of course we can go." Amelia was so excited that she quickly grabbed her IPhone and began looking up what the distance was to the nearest one. The nearest one to Santa Monica was in Malibu, which lucky for Amelia was only a 25 minute drive. Amelia clapped her hands together and said "let me go grab my purse and slip my shoes on and then I'll be ready to go." Max simply nodded and said "I'll be waiting right here for you." While she went to go grab her things Max stood in the kitchen and began talking with his family.

Once Amelia was ready she came back into the kitchen where Max and his family were hanging out. He looked up at her and smiled and said "you all ready to go?" She nodded and said "I am. I am super excited about getting to go. I've seen this place all over my Instagram explore page." Max grabbed his car keys and then they headed out the door. He opened the passenger door for me and I got in before he shut the door and then went around and got in on the driver side. Of course Amelia is and will always be the "passenger Princess." While Max drove Amelia looked on her phone at the online menu for Malibu Farm. She read off what looked good to her and what she would probably end up ordering. She then looked over to Max and asked "so what sounded good to you?" He looked over to her for a moment before focusing back on the interstate that was in front of him. He answered her by saying "uhhh I think I'm going to get the fried egg sandwich and an iced caramel macchiato." Amelia smiled and said "I think I'm also going to get that iced caramel macchiato, but get the Swedish mini pancakes instead." Max said "that sounds good to me." They continued talking the whole ride to Malibu.

Once they were there Max had to find for a place to park. Amelia paid attention to the different signs that were up saying either "parking for this restaurant only, pay to park, or parking is prohibited." They finally found a parking deck that was a couple of blocks from the restaurant. They got parked and began making the walk to where the restaurant was.

As they were walking Max began to notice that Amelia's anxiety was kicking in because he can feel her hand start to shake and tremble in his. He immediately looked to see where the nearest park bench was so they could sit down at. There was one on the sidewalk that was a few paces in front of them. They sped walked to the bench and then immediately sat down. Max grabbed both of Amelia's hands and placed them in his. She looked at him with teary eyes and he said "what's wrong princess?" She shook her head and said "it's nothing." He moved his hands so that they weren't intertwined anymore and gently placed Amelia onto his lap. She leaned her head onto his shoulder. Max then began talking to her and talking down her anxiety with his sweetness. Once he could tell that her breathing had evened out and it was also back to normal he asked "do you want to go and get something to eat and we can sit outside and enjoy the ocean waves?" She nodded and said "thank you for being there for me Max. I don't know what I would do without you. Yeah, we can go ahead and continue our little walk up to the restaurant. The sound of the ocean waves would be so relaxing." They then walked hand in hand to the restaurant feeling happy and content.
