Amelia's Birthday!

June 27th

The sound of a phone alarm woke me up from his slumber. I quickly realized it was my phone alarm and turned it off. I looked at the time and then at the date. It was June 27th aka my sweet girlfriend Amelia's birthday. I then turned over in my bed to see Amelia sleeping peacefully next to me . She had came over last night and ended up staying over, which of course I did not mind at all.

I am supposed to have a game tonight but Snit said there was a bad storm rolling into the area; I'm just saying I wouldn't mind if the game got rained out tonight. With that being said my plan is to go grab Amelia some breakfast and let her sleep in for right now. I got up from my bed carefully not waking Amelia and walked straight into my closet to find something to wear. I decided on a solid white shirt, some black and white shorts, and my white Nike shoes. I put on some deodorant and brushes my teeth before getting dressed. I then placed a kiss onto Amelia's forehead before grabbing my keys and walked and heading out the door.

Once I reached the Starbucks I looked over the menu at what I was going to get for Amelia. I decided on getting her an iced Carmel macchiato, a breakfast sandwich, and a birthday cake cake pop. While I waited on my order I sent a text to a few of our friends to let them know that I would be back at my apartment in just a few minutes. We had came up with a game plan meaning that some of our friends were going to be decorating the kitchen in my apartment while I talked to Amelia and gave her her Starbucks treats. Matt said that he and Sydney were about 5 minutes out and Austin and Braelynn are at Publix putting in the order for the birthday cake for Amelia. After texting everyone back I heard my order called and went to grab everything I had ordered. I got in the car and then sent a text back to our friends to let them know I was now heading back to the apartment.

When I got back Matt and Sydney were outside waiting on me. I let them in and they said "we will get to work on decorating while you talk to the birthday girl." I nodded and said "thanks" before also mentioning that Austin and Braelynn should be here in just a few minutes. Matt and Sydney said they would be on the lookout for them for us. I then grabbed my coffee and Amelia's breakfast before heading to my bedroom where she was. When I walked into my room she was still in bed sitting up and on her phone. I smiled at her and said "hi Birthday girl." She smiled at me and scooted over so I could come sit next to her. I gave her the bags and her drink and said "special birthday breakfast for my princess." She blushed and said "thank you baby" before pulling me in for a hug which I accepted.

After she finished eating her breakfast I told Amelia that I had a had a surprise for her. She raised her eyebrows before saying "okay lead the way." Before we reached the kitchen/living room I placed my hands over her eyes to cover them. She jolted a little thrown off by my action but I quickly said to her "it's okay Meels I got you. It's only a few more steps." I held onto her hands and lead the way to our friends where they were set up with all of the birthday decorations, gifts, and cake. Once we reached the kitchen/living room area I uncovered her eyes and Matt, Sydney, Braelynn, and Austin yelled "SURPRISE!" Amelia covered her mouth in excitement while she took in the sight in front of her. My apartment kitchen and living room had been decorated with banners and balloons. Amelia then said "oh my goodness you guys. This is so sweet" before walking over to each of them and giving them all hugs. She then walked over to me and I wrapped my arms around her waist; she looked at all of us and me before saying "I love you all." 

We all sat around the living room just chatting before I looked over at Amelia and said "it's time for presents miss Meels." Matt and Sydney gave her a gift basket filled with tons of goodies. In the gift basket there were some gift cards to Starbucks, and Chick-Fil-A, some nail polish, and some candy. Austin and Braelynn got her some Flowers, and a new Braves sweatshirt. Lastly it was time for the gifts I got for Amelia. I grabbed the different bags I had and placed them in Amelia's lap. She slowly began to open them each. I got her some LuluLemon items that she wanted and the Taylor Swift Lover album on vinyl. After she opened the last gift Amelia said "I love it all so much, but this is too much y'all"; we each said "no it's not. You deserve it all especially on your special day." She then got up from her seat so she could hug us all. When she walked over to me I pulled her into my chest and placed a kiss on her forehead before saying "you are so welcome. Happy birthday princess."

Time Jump 🪩💜🎉

The rain ended up coming through Atlanta much earlier than anticipated, so the Braves had a game later on at Truist Park. According to the pitching rotation chart Chris Sale was up next to pitch so Max had the night off but still had to be there. Amelia and the girls decided to go to the game as well and support their guys while also still celebrating Amelia's birthday. As the night winded down Amelia felt so appreciative of everything that her friends, family, and her loving boyfriend did for her.
