"Phil, would you care to inform me of why Charlie Slimecicle and Alex fucking Quackity are making their way towards our ship?"

"Oh, they're joining us."

He says it in such a nonchalant way that Wilbur can't help but be stunned. There's a silent shock on his face that looks overly exaggerated. "I'm fucking sorry? They're from the rival crew, you can't just go inviting them on a search that is extremely important for us!"

"They used to be from the rival crew. They got kicked off and nearly killed for betrayal." Phil starts walking around the deck, checking all sides for any mishaps. Wilbur follows.

"That is not helping your case."

"They were the best in their crew in the exact departments that we're lacking. And, as you said, this is a really important search. We'll take everyone that we can get."

"We're lacking? Am I not good enough of a fighter?"

Phil sighs and stops suddenly. "Your endurance is what holds you back. You'll fight until you feel like you can't but all you need to do is push yourself."

"You could have told me that sooner!"

"You wouldn't listen. That's why I have a fighter who won't stop until his opponent is down, train with you."

The shock on his face returns as fast as it left. "I am not training with Alex Quackity."

"That's an order, Wilbur," Phil says with harsh intent and a glare. "And go help with the sails."

"Ran can do that, he's tall."

"He's mapping."

"Tommy, then."

"He will be welcoming our new members with me who should be arriving any second now."

Wilbur groans and walks off to help Clay with the sails. Phil sighs before seeing that Alex and Charlie are walking right to the ship. He finds Tommy standing around and waiting for him and they walk up to where Alex and Charlie are beginning to enter the ship. They take a second before standing directly in front of the captain and his right-hand man.

"Slimecicle, Quackity, we are so happy to have you!" Phil says, trying his best to be welcoming.

"We're happy to be here," says Alex with a soft smile.

Phil gestures to Tommy, "This is Tommy, my right-hand man."

"Pleasure to finally meet you," he says with a small bow.

Alex nods before taking another step onto the ship. However, Phil stops him before he can go any farther.

"Before you accept, there are two things you should know about."

Alex glances at Charlie in mild confusion before stepping back.

"We have one saying, one vow. The saying: no tears, no funerals. If one of us is to die, we do not cry, we do not mourn. The vow," he takes a breath before continuing, "we will never say the words, 'abandon ship'."

Alex's gaze tenses.

"Do you accept?"

Charlie and Alex lock eyes with a sort of silent communication before Alex turns back and holds his hand out.

"Challenge accepted."

Phil chuckles before shaking his hand firmly and letting them onboard. Just as he and Tommy are about to leave from there as well, another boy comes dashing up to their ship, and they stop to look at him. He makes his way up to the deck and they finally get a look at him, recognizing
