Kylie only took a week off of school, Kendra spent it by her side even if she'd be forced to catch up afterwards by the fiery redhead.
Kyle and Ike needed longer, which was understandable, but everyone was shocked when the Broflovski girl came into school.
Partly because her signature hat was missing from her head.
"Where's your hat?" Stacy asked her best friend when she first saw her again.
Kylie actually laughed. "Really?"
The raven-haired girl shrugged. "No point asking if you're okay, and I'm a little bit curious."
"I gave it to Ike, he wouldn't let me leave the house otherwise. A small price to pay."
"Kyyyyylllliiiieeee!"
The brunette came tearing down the hallway.
Kylie sighed at the sight of her old frenemy. "Hey, Erica."
She finally came to a stop, and had to take a second to catch her breath.
Stacy couldn't help but grin.
Kendra came giggling after her. "Hey, sweetheart," she quickly comes to stand at the redhead's side.
"You two are gross," Erica commented as she finally stands up straight again.
"But we're not single," Kylie replied smoothly.
Kendra burst out laughing along with Stacy at that.
Erica groaned. "Kylie you were meant to send me your copy of the homework."
The redhead tilted her head to the side. "I'm pretty sure I never agreed to that."
"Wha- yes you did!"
"Do you have any proof?"
"Well....."
"Then I don't, let's go to class."
Erica groaned some more as she trailed behind. "I hate you so much."
"It's not my fault you can't back up your claims, you can only blame yourself," Kylie shrugged.
"Stacy, Kendra! Help me out here!"
The raven just shrugged, instantly on the side of her best friend. "No evidence."
Kendra was obviously on her girlfriend's side. "What she said."
"You three are always conspiring against me!" Erica complained.
This was of course ignored, and Kylie smiled.
Erica knew from past mistakes not to tease her old frenemy about particularly upsetting shit she'd been through, and it's more helpful to distract her with other nonsense.
The brunette knew about what happened, everyone did, but Erica knew what Kylie was like; she wouldn't want everyone suddenly being all sensitive and nervous to approach.
So Erica just acted like everything was normal.
She and Kylie both knew there was a lot of changes still being made, but both were grateful that their friendship was still the same as ever.
