At the weekend, Kylie forced Kyle and Ike out of bed early morning before the sun was even up.

The ginger boy groaned. "What do you want?"

"Get up, we're going for a walk."

That was all she would say.

Ike just wanted some coffee to waken up before he could go, and Kylie had her breakfast at home too.

Kyle refused to have anything but he knew his sister would have something in her bag either way.

Kylie led the way, knowing her brothers wanted to know where she would take them so early in the morning.

Wherever it was, it was outside of town.

"Where are we going?" Kyle asked.

"To see Mom and Dad," Kylie responded.

The place of the accident.

"They were buried there," the redhead girl went on, "and I haven't had the chance to go over and I'd rather go with the both of you."

Finally, they arrived.

As Kylie had said there was a collection of flowers for the two graves beside the road.

The three sat down in the snow.

"How did you manage to go to school this week?" Kyle asked.

Kylie shrugged. "If I fell behind I'd make myself feel even worse, I felt like I'd be letting them down."

"I miss them," Ike commented.

"Me too," Kyle replied.

........

The three Broflovski kids spent quite a while at the side of the road at their parents' graves.

There was obviously a lot of tears.

A lot of feelings.

But overall, there were no regrets about going.

There was still a lot of hurt.

However, Kyle and Ike felt ready to return to school for next week.

Kylie felt proud.

The three walked home at the start of the afternoon, leaving a bouquet at each grave.

"Things are changing," Kyle said, "right? We have to take care of each other now?"

Kylie sighed. "Yeah....but I think we're doing okay so far. We've got this."
