"Hello?" Jennie muttered softly, not even checking who it was as she shifted in her bed.
"Did I wake you up?" The latter asked, rather guarded, as she finally blinked and checked who called.
"Hmm. It's okay. Did you need something?" She asked Taehyung as she tried to stifle a yawn.
"What're your plans for today?" He asked as she finally began to properly sit up, blinking.
"Today? Why?" She asked, slightly perplexed.
Was there a recording session she missed?
"Just answer. I'll tell you why after." He replied as she put the call on speaker and opened her calendar.
"Today....I have nothing. My only schedule is in the night. Now tell me why?" She mused.
"Do you want to come to my place for barbecue? Jimin's here too. We're celebrating....well....I'm not really sure. Something to do with some girl. But either way, can you come?" He asked really quickly as Jennie took a moment to comprehend all that.
Taking a deep breath, she processed for a moment.
"Uh yeah. I can come. When?" She proceeded to ask as a shuffle was heard on the other side and something reminiscent of an object falling to the floor.
"Uh, sorry. Uhm, in two hours? At noon?" He asked as she checked the clock, only now realising that it was 10:30 in the morning.
"Right, okay. Just send me your address so I can drive over." She told him and exchanged a quick goodbye before putting her phone away and laying back down.
And then, after a moment, she sat up straight again. Finally realising that he had just invited her to hang out. Outside of work. At his place.
It didn't even matter that Jimin was going to be there at that moment, as she quickly speed dialled her group chat.
"Hello?" Jisoo was the first to join the call, her voice clearly hinting at her confusion for Jennie's sudden no name call.
Especially because she thought the girl would be asleep right then. It had been a known fact amongst the four that Jennie only woke up after noon on her off days.
"Jisoo. Oh god." Jennie groaned, as Rosé joined the call next, followed by Lisa immediately after.
"What's up?" Lisa asked energetically, thinking this was one of their regular check in calls.
"So...." Jennie started, laying back down in bed as she put her phone on speaker and beside her.
"So....?" Rosé prompted, wanting to know what had Jennie so fumbled up on her off day morning.
"Taehyung invited me to his house." She broke the news immediately, as the line went silent for a moment.
"Hello?" She continued, suddenly confused at the silence, before having to cover her ears at Lisa's sudden animalistic scream.
