"Lily. You are worrying me."
The world is black. I can only see the stars.
"Lily. Lily please."
Moon, sun, dusk, dawn. They are all what was not, and what will always be. Darkness is the only way. It snuffs out the candle that burns to brightly. It is true balance to those that wish to raze the earth with their light.
"Lily!"
She crashed back down to Earth after floating down from the stars. The world came back into focus, slowly. Smoke filling the edge of her vision until she saw with man who sat next to her, worry marring his features. A week ago, hell maybe even a day ago she would have smoothed the expression off of him with her fingers.
Now, she just wanted to curl into herself.
"I'm fine." Her voice was defensive and childish even to her own ears.
Yoongi eyed her carefully, his words even more gentle. "I did not ask, I was just wondering if you were still listening."
Why does he look at her like she is a creature to be caged?
All she wished for was freedom. It burned sourly in her chest. Who did he think he was?
She snarked back. "Why should I?"
All was supposed to be well since Leila made her sacrifice. More and more it felt like her body was an empty shell, and she was losing pieces of herself.
"Fine. You're making me ask now. What is wrong with you?"
The man adjusted his red blouse that looked quite beautiful on his smooth skin. Inside she was screaming to touch him. But above that faint, twinkling voice it did not matter.
"Everything. My brother is gone and I'm not sure he's allowed back. If Aera doesn't kill him first, he'll just choose to abandon me like everyone else anyways. Leila has her sister and her sister has Jeongguk and Jeongguk has Taehyung and Taehyung has Leila. There's no room for me left, the person they still laugh with but second guess I'll pull out another knife to stab them in the back. The sun has risen, and yet I feel so cold."
Yoongi's face melted from the granite it became. He angled his body towards her, on the ledge of the castle balcony. Lily looked to the dark ground below, and wondered what it would look like to her falling.
