A/n Pov.
Jisoo's eyes were staring at Minju, unaware of his poisonous glare, but soon widened as he found Minju's friend mixing something in wine. "Are they mixing something?" he mumbled, looking at Eunbi's side. She nodded as she looked back at him from the Shijin's table. But Jisoo's eyes were still fixed on the wine glass. He rolled his eyes as Bok-soo took that wine glass from Minju's hands, almost snatching it but smooth enough, trying not to splash the wine on him. Everything was happening so smoothly that no one would notice, but Jisoo did, getting up from his place. He made his way forward to the Bok-soo and Haneul's table.
"I'll drink this," Jisoo said calmly, taking the glass from Bok-soo's hand. Without breaking eye contact, he tilted his head back, drinking the wine with a sip without breaking it. Eunbi, who had been watching from a distance, quickly approached, her footsteps light but purposeful. She knew how Jisoo could be when provoked, and the last thing they needed was a scene. But as she got closer, she noticed Shijin, who was seated at the far end of the table, her usually cheerful face clouded with sadness. Shijin poured herself another glass of wine, this time without watering it down, a clear indication she wasn't in the mood for her usual restraint.
"How are you all getting home?" Eunbi asked, her tone light but her eyes scanned each of them carefully. Shijin hiccuped softly, her voice unsteady. "H-Haneul's going to take me home." She paused, her brow furrowed as she looked at Bok-soo. "And you... Bok-soo... W-who's taking you home?" Before Bok-soo could answer, Soo-chul cut in, his voice dripping with charm. "I'll drop you off, Shijin. Bok-soo can ride with Haneul. Does that work for everyone?"
Eunbi's lips tightened into a thin line. "There's no need. I'll take Shijin home." Soo-chul tilted his head, his playful grin still in place. "Why? I'm perfectly capable of taking care of her." Shijin, still trying to make sense of the conversation, nodded clumsily. "Okay, I'll come with you, Teacher," she said, stumbling slightly as she followed Soo-chul. But even as she walked away, her eyes lingered on Jisoo, a fleeting glance filled with unspoken words.
Eunbi gave Jisoo a quick look as she passed, her voice firm but laced with concern. "Take care of yourself... and your students."
Jisoo shrugged, his gaze now fixed on the empty glass in his hand. "Yeah, sure." As soon as Shijin and Eunbi were out of sight, Jisoo slumped down beside Bok-soo and Haneul. His eyes scanned the table, "Now, you aren't going to force them to drink?" He asked, taunting Minju as he knew that he had the power. Minju just rolled his eyes before defending himself, "Aren't you involving yourself in our life too much?" Minju said back, his eyes never leaving Jisoo's before they went toward Bok-soo, "Also, It was Haneul's choice to drink it." He cleared his point, almost making Bok-soo laugh at him, but just scoffed. Jisoo finally turned toward Bok-soo, "And You, who gave you permission to be here, did you ask any adult before coming here?" Jisoo scolded, Bok-soo just looked down, not knowing what to say anymore, his gaze wandering toward Hameul but nothing helped as Haneul was already unconscious.
Minju who witnessed everything was getting irritated by Jisoo scolding Bok-soo and getting all of Bok-soo's attention. He was jealous, he wanted to be in Jisoo's place and care for Bok-soo, "I think you shouldn't interfere in student's outside life from college." Minju again interrupted, he did not like Jisoo sitting with his 'property', he was desperately waiting for his wine to work on Jisoo as quickly as it did on Haneul. Jisoo smirked, crossing his legs one on another as he spoke again, "Why, Jealous?" He said, but this time, his grin widened as the alcohol hit him harder than expected, his usual composed demeanor unraveling as his head dropped forward.
Jisoo's eyes closed slowly yet forcefully, he fell slightly beside Haneul who was equally drunk but Bok-soo's eyes narrowed as he turned toward Minju, who was still hovering nearby, avoiding anyone's gaze, like nothing done by him. But Bok-soo scoffed. "This was your plan, wasn't it?" He asked Minju whose expression didn't falter. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Really?" Felix laughed slightly with frustration, his voice tempted as he continued, "Jisoo got this drunk off one glass of wine? And Haneul—you're setting him up for Kyung-soo, aren't you? So, where is he?" Felix asked again, this time more loudly, Minju crossed his arms, feigning nonchalance. "I told you, I don't know." Bok-soo stood, a fierce protectiveness flaring in his chest. "Fine. I'll take Haneul and Jisoo home myself." Bok-soo threatened as he was already tired enough.
Soo-chul, who had been quietly observing the exchange, held up a hand. "Wait, I'll call Kyung-soo. Let's see where he" Minju's eyes widened his calm facade cracking. "Do it fast! I can't let Bok-soo take Jisoo with him." Minju mumbled in Soo-chul's ear as he didn't want his plan to fail, Soo-Chul nodded and handed his glass to Minju, who instantly took a sip, Soo-chul pulled out his phone and dialed Kyung-soo.
"Get here. Now, Haneul is drunk and going home with Bok-soo and Jisoo, but Minju is pissed off" Soo-chul said flatly, his eyes never leaving Minju's.
Kyung-soo's voice was immediate on the other end. "I'm on my way." Minutes later, which was exactly 10 minutes, Kyung-soo arrived, his presence filling the room with a quiet intensity. His eyes scanned the situation before he stepped forward. "I'll take Haneul home." Bok-soo's jaw tightened. "No. That won't be necessary." The tension between them hung heavy in the air, a battle of wills silently unfolding as the night edged toward its inevitable climax.
While this all was happening, Jisoo scratched his neck, his eyes were heavy with the weightage of something as he wasn't drunk but poisoned.
