Chapter 15: An Unexpected Proposition

The days passed, and Shahzain and Aidah's friendship remained as strong as ever. They had always been close, and their bond was something they cherished. However, little did they know that an unexpected event would test the strength of their relationship.

It was the 25th of January, a day that started like any other. Shahzain was seated in the classroom, a textbook in front of him, attempting to focus on his studies. He had always been a diligent student, dedicated to his academics.

As he looked across the room, he noticed Aidah sitting a few rows away. Her emerald-green eyes were fixed on her notes, and she appeared engrossed in her own world. Shahzain smiled to himself, grateful for her presence in his life.

However, his peaceful concentration was soon disrupted by the arrival of Mia, a fellow classmate with a reputation for her flirtatious nature. Mia took the seat beside Shahzain with a confident and provocative air about her.

Leaning in closer to him, Mia's voice took on a suggestive tone. "Shahzain, you seem awfully handsome today. What's on your mind?"

Shahzain, surprised by the sudden attention, felt his cheeks flush slightly. He cleared his throat, trying to remain composed. "Uh, just studying, Mia. I need to focus on my studies."

But Mia was undeterred, her flirtations growing more explicit by the moment. She playfully ran a finger along Shahzain's arm, her gaze lingering on his lips. "Studying can be so boring, don't you think? Maybe we could find a more exciting way to pass the time."

Shahzain's blue eyes darted to Aidah, who was now glancing in their direction with a mixture of curiosity and concern. He felt increasingly uncomfortable but remained polite, responding in short, monosyllabic words.

Yet, Mia persisted, her advances becoming increasingly provocative. Shahzain couldn't help but notice Aidah's expression, a mix of surprise and discomfort. He attempted to steer the conversation toward a more neutral topic, but Mia was relentless.

As the final bell rang, Mia decided to take matters into her own hands. She turned to Shahzain, her eyes filled with anticipation. "Shahzain, how about we go out for a date sometime? What do you say?"

Shahzain, caught off guard by the explicit proposition, hesitated before responding, "I'll think about it, Mia."

Mia flashed a sultry smile and left the classroom, leaving Shahzain to grapple with the unexpected turn of events. Shahzain's mind was a whirlwind of confusion as he pondered Mia's proposition and its potential consequences.
