Our lost Baby Brother

( Chapter 2 ) Our first talk

Point of view - Angelica

I was sitting in the living room's couch, alone with my soon to be "husband". Now that I'm getting a better view of his face, he isn't so bad looking. I hate the fact that my heart is willing and fully ready to accept him, while my brain is still trying to process the whole progress. Ever since our parents left us alone to speak and "get to know each others" we haven't said a word. I was looking down, most of the time, but I could feel his solid, raven blacked eyes stare at me the entire time, ever since he came in and sat down at the couch.

He decided to break the silence and started our conversation with "since we're here to get to know each other's, let's start with names, interests, jobs etc ( and the rest )." I nodded in agreement, and spoke up. "My name is Angelica Summers and I work at my own company named "Blossoms Silver" with the position as the CEO. I know how to throw punches and I won't hesitate to fight anyone including you if you mean any harm to me. I'm 42 years ol- 

"YOU ARE 42!? YOU LOOK SO YOUNG TO BE IN YOUR FOURTY'S!" He screamed out. I was so surprised at the sudden attack of his volume, I fell down the couch because I was laying there 10 seconds ago. I sighed and looked up at his worried and guilty face. "Did you want me to be younger or something?" I replied. "N-NO THAT IS NOT THE THING. Y-YOU JUST LOOK SO YOUNG TO BE IN YOUR EARLY FOURTY'S." He shouted. "Please try to lower your volume, I think my ears is going to bleed from all your screaming and shouting" I said tiredly. He apologized and talked normally.

"As I was saying do not try anything weird because I know damn well how to protect me good. I like to go out and hang out to places like cafes and it's nothing really much, but I do like picking and decorating with flowers. My favorite flower is blossoms. Before I continue, I would like some help to come up. Mind helping me since you were the cause of my fall? He nodded his head fast and picked me up in a bridal style. "W-WAIT I JUST NEED A HAND, DO NOT PICK ME UP SO SUDDEN!! "Princesa, no gritamos dentro de la casa. ¿Recordar? (Princess, we don't scream inside the house. Remember?) I saw you got scratched while falling and bumping into the corner of the sofa, so I decided to pick you up, and find a plaster for you to put on your precious knee Querida (Darling~) "So he knew I understood him" I thought for myself.

I was a blushing mess just like a tomato. Just as I was told, I didn't complain or whine about getting picked up as if I were some little kid. I followed his instructions and sat down quietly as he put a "hello kitty" plaster on my knee. "Seriously, is a hello kitty plaster the only thing left, nothing else you found?". "Princess just be grateful that your knee ain't going to get an infection". "I rolled my eyes, he sounded so much like my grandfather. Do I really need to marry a guy speaking like an old man? We finally sat down after the whole thing that happened...

Now mister mr.mysterious, tell me about yourself ~ ? He smiled widely, just happy that I even talked nice to him. "My name is Matthew Ravens, I'm just 2 years older than you! I have my own business and I'm the leader of it all. Just like the usual boys things, I like training and keeping my body in check and in good health. I promise I will take good care of you Angel ~ We could talk and get to know each others as much as you want, until you trust me and open up to me about many things like your interests, likes and dislikes. I will do anything to make you happy~"

My face started to redden and I was practically screaming inside my head. HE IS GOOD LOOKING, IS WILLING TO TAKE CARE OF ME, TOOK GOOD CARE OF ME SO FAR, HE IS IN GOOD HEALTH AND HAS A GREAT AND WELL BUILD BODY WHICH I COULD BASICALLY SEE FROM THE LINES OF HIS SHIRT, HE IS GENTLE AND AFFECTIONATE, A LITTLE BIT ANNOYING BUT I COULD PUT UP WITH IT. Isn't he a great match for me? He has everything that is needed! I woke up from my thoughts, and back into reality.

"There is something which I'm curious about though Matthew..." He looked at me, laughing a little bit out of nervousness and said "yeah, ask whatever you want to ask me Angel!" I stared intense at his eyes, I could tell he had more to tell, but it was as if he hid something from me. "What kind of business are you the leader of?". He didn't answer me and my question, and I got even more curious. Suddenly his phone started to ring out of nowhere. "Sorry it's urgent, I need to pick this up" he said before he left the living room, and walked forth and back outside the door. "What is he hiding?".

It took at least around 20 minutes before he came back from his phone call, smiling like usual, just like nothing ever was asked or like nothing ever happened, before he went outside to talk on the phone. I gave him the curious look, and I know he saw it too. But he still decided to stay quiet, and talked about other things to dodge the topic of exactly what business he was the leader of. I'm a little suspicious of him, but at that time I thought not so much at it, and left it be.

Future Angelica: "I should have known better than trust "strangers". I wish I knew that earlier."
