Chapter 4

~ Kenny's POV~

After i had gotten my cast (blue!) i decided to check my phone, not thinking i would have anything, but then looking at the screen when it vibrated, i saw that Ketoria had messaged me. Opening the text, i was slightly worried about my sister. Considering that we were twins, i always thought of her as a younger sister. Once i read her text, i sighed in relief, not knowing i was holding my breath. Putting my phone back in my pocket, i walked outside to see my parents, my principle, and Mark who was talking to another little boy who was in a wheelchair. Laughing slightly, i looked at his new friend, instantly noticing his pure white hair and reddish eyes. Thinking this was a little strange, i decided to walk up to them and meet his friend.

"Hey Mark! Who's your new friend?" I asked him as i rested my uninjured arm on his shoulder jokingly.

"Hi Kenny! This is Henry! He's really nice!" Mark said sounding very happy that he made a new friend.

"Hi Henry! It's nice to meet you. Im Mark's brother, Kenny. What did you do to your leg?" I asked curious.

"Oh this?" He asked pointing to his leg. "I uhm..i jumped off of a swing set!" He stuttered, and i noticed he had an accent that i couldn't exactly figure out.

"Ahh... Well lets go Mark. Im sure mom and dad want to leave, and to go find Ketoria."

I turned back around, looking for either of my parents or our principle, but instead i saw Ketoria carrying something in her jacket. She looked worried, so i went over to her, with a questioning look on my face, to which she replied with a look saying she would tell me later. We looked around, and found my mother walking towards us, looking worried and angry.

"Lets go kids. Your father and I will be late to work, and we don't want that to happen again." She said and walked back out the sliding doors. We looked over and saw Mark saying goodbye to his new friend, and hugging him. With that, we all walked out the doors looking for our car.

"Ketoria, put on your jacket. You'll get sick." I looked over at my twin sister, and saw her look around sadly, and yet scared.

"I cant mom. Ill show you when we get home okay?" I looked down at her jacket and saw a small head poking out, looking at me. I smirked and looked back toward the road. Before we all knew it, we had gotten home and we all went inside, and as in all, i meant that it was only Ketoria, Mark and I going back inside, while our parents went into separate vehicles and drove off to their jobs. I slammed the door, and sat on the couch while Mark went into his room to grab something. I watched Ketoria gently set down her jacket,slowly unraveling it.

"So...what did you find this time?" I asked, slightly interested.

"I went on a walk and found a forest right behind the hospital, and there was a small path there, then i started walking, and found this little girl." She said, all in one breath, picking up a little fawn. "She was stuck in a rose bush, and she seemed to have been in there for about an hour or two. The problem is, she only has three legs...I have no idea if she can walk." She then set it down on the carpeted floor, and ran into the kitchen for something. I looked at the little fawn and saw she had a lot of dried blood, along with tiny cuts. I knew right away that if Ketoria hadn't found her, she wouldn't be alive much longer.

"Help me wash off the blood and dirt. Mark! Come down and bring Zipper and Zayin with you!" Ketoria yelled to our little brother. Not long after, we heard footsteps pounding their way down the stairs.

Zayin and Zipper came down together and soon found the little fawn and came over to get a better look. Soon enough, Zipper curled into a ball right next to the fawn, and Zayin started to gently lick her, trying to get her to calm down, due to her struggling.

"What is it!?" Mark asked, very interested in the little deer. He looked up at us, and i started to explain what it was, while Ketoria continued to clean her off, with Zayin's help.

"Oh...Can we keep her!? She is so cute!" He said with a girly voice, making both Ketoria and I laugh.

"Well, we'll ask mom and dad when they g-" i was cut off by a loud bang. I turned around,looking for where the sound had come from, and found the source.
