Darkend Night

Chapter One

"Kenny Silver!?" I heard again, and jerked awake, resulting in me hitting my head on the headboard of the bed.

What a weird dream...

"What do you want?!" I yelled, trying to think of what had just happened. 

"Get down here or you'll be late for school again!" I heard my mother yell frantically. 

"Fine..." I muttered, annoyed.  

I jumped out of bed, and walked over to my wardrobe, and quickly grabbed my clothes. I threw them on, grabbed my shoes, and ran down the stairs, and into the kitchen. When I got there, I was greeted by our cat, Zipper, and our Australian Shepard, Zayin, with both of them jumping on my legs, and Zayin licking me. I bet them both, then shooed them away. Next I noticed my little brother, Mark playing with our newer puppy, Kira.

"Hi Kenny!" He greeted me happily. I smiled down at him as he stood up and hugged me tightly. He resembled our mother, much more than our father, with his brown hair and ocean blue eyes. Although he was only 6 he was very smart.

"Where are the others?" I asked when he stepped away from me.  

"Dad went to work, and Mommy is helping Ketoria." Ketoria is my sister. Twin actually, though we look nothing alike. She has blonde hair with purple eyes, and nobody knows why, while I have brown hair and cyan colored eyes. We do have similarities though, with both of us at normal height of 5'11'', normal weight,and the same hobbies.

"Where is Ket-" I was cut off by a female body jumping on my back.

"Hi bro!" She greeted happily as she got off of me.

"Hey Ketoria." I spoke bluntly.

"What's the matter? she said, confused.

"I'll tell you on the way to school, but it was about a dream that i had over night."

"Oh me too!"

Honk honk..

"Bus." Ketoria and I said at the same time.

"Bye mom! Cya after school!" We ran out with Mark, before our mother had time to speak. We took our normal seats in the back while Mark sat in the front with his best friend, Jimmy.

"So what was the dream about?" Ketoria asked me.

"I was in a forest, and there was a fire somewhere off in the distance, and there were trees falling, and animals running around, and frightening sounds of horses... I heard two people talking about a...hatchling? I have no idea what that was about, but then i heard a voice, i turned around and a huge dragon was behi-" Ketoria cut me off by saying softly

"That was my dream! But i saw a huge male dragon, and he was very small. But when i looked, i had a huge K in my skin."

"Weird.... What do you think it means?"

"I have no clue, but this is weird... Next time we have the dream write down the dates. And about what happened. Deal?"

"Deal." We shook on our deal. Just then, the bus stopped abruptly, throwing all of its passengers forward. I reached over and caught Ketoria before she went forward even more and hit the floor. I stood up and ran down the bus aisle , tripping over book bags and books, and i looked back to see Ketoira behind me, helping up a fallen Mark. Before i knew it, i was out of the bus doors, and on the ground, with my arm under me. I slowly got up and looked in front of the bus.

"K-Ketoria....?" I studderd, calling out for my sister.

"Ketoria!" I yelled out again, this time walking backwards. I looked into the bus, and saw her and Mark slowly walking out, so not to hurt themselves as I did.

"Kenny! Look at your arm!" Mark said,scared. I looked at my arm and saw it looked broken. I poked it and it burned my arm.

"Strange..." I whispered. I turned back around toward the front of the bus, and saw a strange shadow.
