FADED MEMORIES AND STUPIDITY_____________________
____________AFTER A LONG NIGHT of drinking and partying with Morgan, Emily, and JJ, Sophie was exhausted. Spencer drove Sophie to his apartment. He had stayed sober and observed the evening, reading a book at the bar as four drunk girls surrounded him and tried to persuade him to join. He refused, and they all eventually got bored of trying to convince him.
Spencer stayed put in the driver's seat while glancing at Sophie who was sound asleep in the seat next to him. Her hair laid gracefully across her shoulders and her chest moved up and down in a peaceful motion. She was completely exhausted, given the fact that it was her first outing as a college student where she actually got drunk and had a good time.
He tapped lightly on her shoulder and she slapped his hand away. He was surprised by this, but figured that she was probably too tired to fully comprehend what was happening. He slid out of the seat and made his way to her door- opening it and carefully lifting her out of her seat and into his arms.
He was unsure if he was doing the right thing, he was afraid that he was crossing boundaries with Sophie that would be hard for her to forgive. He didn't want Sophie to hate him, and he didn't want to take advantage of the little experience that she had. If he was being completely honest, he didn't have much experience either.
He drove her to his apartment because Sandra was still at the bar, and Sophie was unconscious and wouldn't exactly have been able to open her own door. So, he decided to bring her back to his apartment- give her the bed, and sleep on the couch. A classic gentlemanly move.
He got her up the stairs and onto his bed- he placed her under the covers and set aside a bottle of water and aspirin for her to take in the morning, before he crept slowly to the door of his bedroom and attempted to close the door.
Before he could close the door, Sophie called for him and he crouched next to the side of the bed.
"Can you stay with me?" She asked groggily.
Spencer's cheeks reddened as he laid down next to her. He didn't bother going under the covers, he just laid on his back motionless and closed his eyes awkwardly. Sophie was still groggy and slightly drunk, but she noticed his timidness and turned to face him.
She placed her head on his chest and wrapped her arm around him. She felt his body relax and eventually they both fell asleep.

___________Sophie woke up and glanced at Spencer, who was still asleep beside her. She groaned and brought her hand to her forehead as the slight headache she had when she woke up magnified and made her skull feel like it could split in two. She was experiencing the world's worst hangover.
She crept out of bed and into Spencer's bathroom, freshening up a bit and then taking the bottle of water and aspirin he had left on the bedside table. She watched him as he slept peacefully for a few moments, and left his apartment without another word. The next case they were assigned would be rather awkward for both of them.
When Sophie left Spencer's apartment, she realized she had no idea how to get home from there. Her head was still throbbing and last night was still a blur. She remembered walking through the park with Spencer, and drinking with the team, but she couldn't remember any other events of that night. This is why she hated drinking.
Sophie sighed and called Sandra, who got angry at her for calling since she was also experiencing a major hangover- but Sophie convinced her to pick her up. Since Sophie didn't really know where she was, she settled for walking to the nearest coffee shop and letting Sandra pick her up from there. She didn't want to hear about spending the night at a boy's apartment from her friend who really had no room to talk.

____________Sophie arrived at the coffee shop and she saw Joe and Sebastian talking at a booth near the window. She was surprised to see them there, since it wasn't their usual location. She brushed it off and sat herself behind their table discreetly. She didn't want either of them to notice her since she wasn't in a very talkative mood.
"So, you're saying Sophie has connections with the FBI?" Sebastian whispered.
"That guy we saw with her the other day works with them." Joe answered in a hushed voice.
Sophie's eyes widened, but not because she had overheard their conversation, because the events of the night came crashing down on her in a wave of stupidity.
"You better take care of her then." Sebastian ordered firmly.
He couldn't let some girl that his partner had a crush on get them involved with the FBI. That wouldn't work out well for either of them.
"Sophie's not a threat, Sebastian. It's fine- I promise."
"If she knows someone in the FBI, then she is. For all we know, she could be ratting us out as we speak."
Sophie put a hand over her mouth in shock. She had tried to kiss Spencer? Why the hell would she do that? She was normally not the kind of girl to throw herself on a man, so why had she tried so desperately to kiss Spencer?
