Ochako was far from impressed with Izuku's clothing selection.
"You don't have a single piece of clothing here worth wearing. I can't make an outfit out of any of this." She said turning towards him with a disappointed expression. Izuku looked away sheepishly, his closet was filled with graphic tees, jeans, and comically colorful shoes.
Ochako let out a sigh, "I guess we'll have to go shopping then." A bright smile then appeared on her face and she grabbed Midoriya's hand and began dragging him towards the door and out of the dorms.
They went to their local mall and Ochako immediately began dragging him into all of the clothing stores.
It felt like it had been hours and Uraraka still couldn't find an outfit for Izuku's non-official date.
"I can just wear one of my t-shirts and a pair of jeans instead, we don't have to go through all this..." Izuku said, feeling slightly exhausted after going into what felt like the 100th store that day.
Ochako turned to face him, a determined look on her face. "No, we're going to find you something that makes you look amazing. You deserve to feel confident and comfortable on your date."
Izuku smiled at her words, feeling touched by her kindness. "Thank you, Ochako. I appreciate it."
Ochako grinned back at him. "Don't mention it. Now, let's try this store over here."
They walked into the store and were immediately greeted by a sales associate. Ochako explained what they were looking for and the associate led them to a section of the store that was filled with sleek, stylish clothing.
Ochako picked out a specific outfit for Izuku to try on and he obediently went into the changing room.
The outfit consisted of a light blue hooded sweatshirt that was a size too big, coupled with dark cargo pants and black-and-white Converse sneakers.
Midoriya was impressed to say the least. He definitely liked the way it looked on him, it gave a look of casual, but not trying too hard.
Once he stepped out of the dressing room Uraraka's eyes lit up in excitement, "It looks perfect! Now all we have to do is accessorize and you'll look ready to eat!" She said jokingly. "I already said it's not a date!" Izuku flushed, turning his head the other way. "Yeah, but you wish it was, now go put on your other clothes so we can pay and go back to the dorms, we're gonna reach curfew soon." Ochako began pushing him back into the dressing room. "You mean so I can pay?" He
joked before closing the door behind him.
As he changed back into his old clothes, Izuku couldn't help but feel grateful for Ochako's help. She had gone out of her way to make him feel better and it meant the world to him.
"You'll look amazing, Izuku!" Ochako exclaimed as he walked out of the changing room again "Bakugou won't know what hit him."
Izuku flushed again at the compliments and they made their way back to the dorms.
The sun had already set, casting an eerie orange glow on the clouds. The dormitory was now swarming with students coming back from their respective activities. Ochako and Izuku walked in silence towards their room, the only sound being the soft clunking of the sneakers against the pavement.
As they walked, Izuku's heart was beating faster than it ever had before. He couldn't help but think about what Ochako had said about the outfit. Maybe he really did look good. Maybe he could finally ask Katsuki out on a real date.
However, as they turned the corner of the hallway leading to their room, Katsuki's voice roared from the end of the hall. "Oi, De-Izuku! Where the hell have you been? You're almost late for curfew!"
