"Y/N, I swear-" Leon started, his hands gripping on the sheets. His breaths were heavy, wishing he could move right now but it'd only make the situation worse.
A heavy grunt escaped his lips when you roughly pull the stitch through the wound on his torso, his muscles flexing every time that poking sensation entered his body. When he glanced up at you from the bed, you were completely unfazed by his complaints.
He scowled, "You're being too rough, dammit. The hell's wrong with you?"
"What the hell's wrong with you?" You asked back calmly. "You basically live in here." You sighed shaking your head.
"..." Leon remained silent as the two of you shared a glaring gaze. His eyes were filled with annoyance, while yours were filled with annoyance and worry.
"You don't have to be mean, Doc," he grumbled. "At least I'm trying my best here...."
He tried to sit up but fell back down. He yelped and coughed.
"Quit that! I'm not done yet." You sighed in frustration. "Where are you so eager to go that you don't want to receive my treatment?"
Leon looked away, his cheeks flushing in embarrassment. His eyes drifted towards your own, and his lips twisted into a grimace, his eyes widening and his brows furrowing.
"Nowhere, Doc..." he answered, his voice shaky and his words soft. "I'm just tired of being here, and I wanna leave. I wanna go home, you know?"
But he couldn't go home. Not yet.
"You'll get to go home if you just let me finish stitching you up." You said exasperated.
"I know, Doc. I know--" Leon sighed, looking at the stitches along his torso, "--I just wanna get this over with."
His eyes scanned your face, and his body shifted closer to the bed.
You shook your head before returning to the stitch. You were being as gentle as you possibly could, for Leon's sake.
A couple of minutes passed by before you sealed up his knife wound and rolled back.
"You're all set."
"Mhmm." Leon hummed, sitting up against the bed. His hair was messy, his forehead covered in sweat, and his cheeks still flushed.
"Thanks, Doc." He reached over to you and pulled you into a tight hug. You could feel the strength of his arms as he hugged you.
"Just doing my job," you patted his back before pulling away taking off your gloves and throwing them away.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever."
Leon rolled his eyes, but his voice was still soft as he spoke. His body was still trembling, though, so you knew he was still recovering from his fight.
His face was still flushed as well.
Was the hug too much?
"Your face is red. Are you getting sick too?" You asked rolling back over to him in your chair.
The back of your hand felt his forehead. You could feel the heat on his forehead. It was burning hot.
"I think I am," Leon grumbled. "Damn cold."
He leaned back and rested against the bed, his hands still clutching the sheet.
You nodded before rolling away to a cabinet. You grabbed the shot supplies before rolling back over. "Can you take a shot, big boy?" You joked flicking the needle.
Leon looked over at the needle, his eyes narrowing. But his eyes widened when he saw you were holding a shot to give him.
"Doc, are you serious right now?" He asked, his voice slightly raspy and his eyes squinting.
