Shang Tsung's Throne Room
The remaining champions gather in the throne room. Sub-Zero is the first to arrive, preparing himself to face the fiery vengeance of his old friend. It isn't long before Scorpion enters the room. Before he can get to the fight line, he is stopped by Raiden.
Raiden: Scorpion, I know what this fight means to you, but if you win and spare Sub-Zero, the elder gods have agreed to resurrect your clan.
Scorpion: We shall see. Until then, I will relish in getting revenge for my clan.
He enters the fight line and stands across from Sub-Zero. The two prepare to fight, locking eyes and staring harshly at one another. Scorpion reaches up and grabs both of his swords off of his back. With a reluctant sigh, Sub-Zero forms his kori blade and readies himself.

Shang Tsung: Round 1.......Fight!
The two lunge forward. Their swords clash repeatedly, sending thermals and cool breezes around the room. Kitana stands with Jade and Goro next to Shang Tsung's throne as the fight rages on.
Neither assassin can get the upper hand, not that Sub-Zero is trying to. Scorpion has been the main aggressor. All the Lin Kuei is doing is launching counterattacks. Scorpion launches a flurry of slashes, but Sub-Zero manages to block each attack. Finally, it looks like Sub-Zero has had enough. He counters two of Scorpion's attacks and thrusts forward only for Scorpion to vanish in thin air. Sub-Zero's eyes widen in surprise before closing. Scorpion appears behind him and thrusts one of his blades at Sub-Zero's head.
