Hellooooooooo! Ginger here.
I have writer's block, so I decided to do a little shit post that still pertains to my story.

A little explanation before we start: I have a Spotify playlist for every single character in this book. When I'm looking for inspiration or trying to get into the mindset of that character, I just go to their playlist and hit shuffle. Sometimes I go to a specific song and imagine a movie scene starring them with that song as the "soundtrack." Some of the scenes in this very book even started as songs, or were written with a specific song on repeat in the background because the music fit so perfectly.

So in this chapter, I'll be giving you guys some of the music I chose for the characters, along with a short blurb that briefly describes the situation in which the song might fit.

Because I want to.

Enjoy!

"Hell Yeah" by Rev Theory.

I imagine this to be a sort of main fighting  theme for Kid. Like when he's just having a good time and the fight's not too serious and he's just in his element.

"Tooth and Claw" by Animals as Leaders.

Now THIS is when Kid gets serious. He's covered in blood, heavily injured, surrounded by piles of dead enemies, and the battle isn't even halfway over. To me, this sounds like when his back is to the wall but he just grins... and SNAPS.

"World on Fire," By Slash, and by Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators

This is Kid having a good time. His inner Luffy, if you will. He sees some daredevil stunt he wants to do and just sprints off to have fun, leaving the rest of the crew to just shake their heads and run after him because what else can they do? It's Kid. IDK what he's doing, but he's having fun, whooping and hollering and reveling in the thrill.

"White Whale," by Shadow Academy.

I think this one is the same reason as the last, maybe with a little more determination.

KILLER

"Monomyth," by Animals as Leaders.

So Killer is a dark character. Like really dark. This is his nightmare sequence music, like him spiraling as he struggles to get a hold of himself during battle.

"The Devil In I," by Slipknot.

Bro, you KNOW I had to give this dude a Slipknot song, and you KNOW that it HAD to be this one. It's the duality of it, not only in the lyrics, but in the way the styles of the chorus and verses variate so much from each other. He's always fighting between two parts of himself, and I think this paints that picture beautifully.

"Shadows of Doom," by Wez Devine.

Picture this: you're a random pirate. You and your crew have just lost a battle against a single foe. you're the last one standing now. Your broken swords are clutched in your trembling hands as you gaze at the decimated corpses of your fallen crew. A hulking monster of a man stands before you, soaked in their blood. You're too scared to run as he begins to walk towards you. THIS SONG is playing in your final moments lmao.

"Hardcore," by Reign Wolf.

Killer is very, very tortured. This just fits, I think.
