Guys this is the last chapter I have pre-written from the days when I actually had free time. I will try to stay consistent, but now I may have to post every 10 or 14 days instead of every 7.

Thanks for the understanding, and please enjoy this longer-than-usual chapter.

Though Nikki and Evie didn't have much contact outside of their jobs over the next week and a half, it was clear to everyone that their relationship had improved. It was evident in the way Evie helped Nikki set up and take down his equipment at shows, not because Nikki couldn't do it himself (in fact, he seemed to be absolutely obliterated by drugs less and less frequently recently), but because it was a nice thing to do. It was evident in the short but telling conversations the pair had backstage, in which Nikki would make a lighthearted teasing comment and Evie, depending on her mood, would respond with either a witty come back or a flustered smile. Flirting, it could almost be called. Neither of them really recognized it, but their tense conversation in the hotel lobby was really a chance for them to say everything they had been wanting to say for the last two years. Getting it out into the open was freeing.

Things seemed to be getting better for Motley Crue. Mick forgave Evie for getting drunk and permanently stopped thinking about why she had been found in Tommy's room the morning before he beat her up. Although any half-qualified doctor would classify Mick as an alcoholic, it seemed his drunken anger had diminished with age and money. He instead became very quiet and depressive when he was drunk, which Evie could almost accept.

Two days after their fight, a hallucinogen-filled Tommy hugged Evie backstage at a show, apologizing profusely and begging for her forgiveness while swaying her back and forth. She forgave him, mostly just to make him let go of her because it would still take a few days and a confirmation from the doctor that her sprained wrist would heal completely before she truly got over it. Tommy was so relieved by her 'forgiveness' that he almost started crying. He hugged her some more, thanked her, and then ran off.

A couple of days later, when Evie actually felt no ill-will towards Tommy and the drummer seemed at least kind of sober, she approached him backstage and apologized for telling Nikki about their experience two years ago. Tommy didn't really want to talk about it, but he was comforted by her apology. He hugged her again, more like a normal person this time, and they agreed to forget the whole situation ever happened.

Since the night at the pool, Evie had developed a strange feeling towards Vince. Though they had often been around each other, the two almost never talked. Evie even got the impression that he didn't like her. If she was being honest, she would have said she didn't particularly like him either, mostly just because he came off as a selfish asshole.

But after that night; when Vince stood up for her in front of Nikki, then when he offered to kick Nikki's ass for hurting her feelings, then when he kissed her, and when he presumably confronted Nikki in a private conversation that she wouldn't have known about had Nikki not told her; something had changed. They weren't exactly friends, and it sure as hell couldn't be classified as any type of romance, but Evie somehow felt like Vince would always have her back.
