When Avarie made it back to her dorm she went into her room to get ready for dinner with her new friends. She threw her bag on her bed before stripping down and heading into her bathroom.
After her shower she walks back into her room and up to her wardrobe to find something to wear. Avarie settles on a olive green cropped cami, and some black ripped jeans.
She snaps a selfie in her mirror before grabbing her wallet, phone and keys and going back into her room to find a bag. She settles on a black knit shoulder bag, before grabbing her leather jacket and heading out the door and down the dorm hallway.
As she's waiting by the elevator, she gets a call.
"Hello" Avarie says putting the phone to her ear.
"What's your ETA they wanna make sure your burger is still hot when you get here" Maddie says on the other end of the line.
"I'm walking to my car now, and google maps says Athena and Bobby's house is fifteen minuets away" Avarie says hoping into her jeep.
"Ok see you soon" Maddie says as the duo hangs up.
"Hey Siri shuffle Sia on Spotify" Averie says rolling down her windows.
"Now playing Sia shuffle on Spotify" the AI replies as the music plays through the car speakers.
Soon enough Avarie is pulling up to a cozy looking house.
She gets out of her jeep and heads to the front door before ringing the door bell.
"Hey, Hey, come on in" Athena says opening the door for the brunette to enter.
"You have a lovely house ma'am" Avarie says admiring and taking in the wood work around the house and how cozy the energy is. "Got a spare room open"
"That's actually really funny considering the oldest kid just moved out last week, she's starting UCLA next fall, but she's taking a gap year" Athena says with a laugh as the pair head out to the patio to meet with the others.
"Nothing wrong with that, Sofia and I took a several year gap year, we're juniors at 25" Avarie laughs .
"How'd you get a spot on the hockey team then" Maddie asks.
"I'm just that good" Avarie jokes with a wink as Bobby hands her a burger, before going back to the grill to make more.
"So what do you do in your free time" Karen asks before taking a bite of her veggie stick.
"Well I'm really busy getting my journalism degree, and in order to exist without putting a dent on my savings account I work in dispatch with Maddie. What about you guys" Avarie says before biting into her burger
"I'm 727-L30" Athena days with the biggest smile.
"No frickn way, I thought so but like people sound so different over the radio" Avarie laughs.
"We all work at the 118" Chimney says pointing at all the fire fighters in the room
"And my other mommas a rocket scientist" Denny says giving Karen a big hug. Boy is that kid proud of his mama.
