Beedle woke up, startled, but suddenly, he was no longer in Hyrule City but staring at a field. He watched the grass sway with the breeze as a light accordion sound floated through the wind. The sun was rising, and life seemed to be stirring at the stable as the morning began. This was different from where he was before, and the most notable difference was...this Hyrule Castle? And it was surrounded by this red source? It confused him greatly, but what was he to do.

Sighing, Beedle stretching and stood, giving a yawn before grabbing his pack of supplies to sell. He walked over to a Rito, the one playing the accordion, and gave a wave. "Hi-yah! What is that?" He pointed to Hyrule Castle and the red mist, a big and bright smile on his face.

The Rito looked at him sideways, blinking in confusion. "You mean the Calamity? It's been happening for over a hundred years...they say that one day, Princess Zelda's knight is going to come back and save Hyrule. Or, at least my teacher said that, and I deeply hope that it's true." The Rito looked off into the distance, sighing a little as he looked at the merchant. "Might I tell you a story, sir?" Before Beedle could answer, he started playing his accordion, the sound drifting through the air again.

The kingdom of Hyrule is a vast and storied land,
Oft grasped in the palm of a villainous hand.

Before the bard could keep going, Beedle had started walking away and down the path surrounding Hyrule Castle, his eyes constantly darting back to it. The sight of this...castle and the evil he saw around it worried him deeply, but he knew he shouldn't think on it too much. Besides, what else could go much wrong?

While walking past Rowan Plain, Beedle spotted something: a horse. But not just any horse; a beautiful pure white horse. It intrigued him so deeply and he started walking closer and closer to the creature. Suddenly, the horse reared, startled by Beedle's presence, and startling Beedle too.

The two stepped away from each other, but Beedle slipped down the side of the cliff, falling into the Tanagar Canyon. He felt as if he hit every rock, but when he finally came to a stop, he was faced by an old building. It was regal and huge, and he landed right at the entrance. Without a moment of hesitation, his fascination and curiosity taking over, Beedle stood right on up and trudged inside, sticking his head in.

Suddenly, red lasers were pointed at his chest and his face fell, panicked as guardians awoke around him and targeted him with their Sheikah technology. Bracing for impact and the end of his life, he closed his eyes but nothing ever hit him. Instead, there stood a blonde Hylian with the Hylian Shield, blocking him and defeating the guardians with ease.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Beedle clasped the boy on the shoulder. "Sarqso, sarqso! You saved my life! I've also been practicing my Gerudo." He giggled a little bit, but the Hylian showed no emotion as he continued walking through the decayed building, his eyes forward as he started jogging. "He-hey!"

Beedle quickly picked up his pack and jogged after him, stopping in front of a beautiful Goddess Hylia statue and what seemed to be another smaller yet more intricate building. He watched the Hylian pull a machine from his belt, holding it up and watching the monument change colors. Suddenly, it started glowing, and his jaw dropped open in awe.

While he was standing there, Beedle then heard a voice. "Young one...come to me..." He looked around, eyes wide before settling on the statue, slowly approaching it as a mysterious sunlight shone on it. The voice reappeared, louder and stronger than before. "Young one, you are not from here...you must leave and return to your time..."

Part of the building collapsed and fell on top of Beedle, knocking him unconscious and with more thoughts running wild.
