A lot went through my mind when Kaitlyn said that. I was absoltuely speechless, like something was literally stopping my voice right at my throat. Usually when she said something like that she wanted something or it was just really great news(I was hoping that that's what it was).

She flipped her shiny brown hair behind her shoulder. "You girls are in the Top 5! As the leader of the PC you are now eligible to compete in the beauty contests I'm having later in the year. Deets will be posted next week. Kay?" She smiled brightly. I surely missed seeing her smile, like her smile definitely lightened up any room. It's weird saying this because I'm a girl, and so is she. Why am I thinking like that? God.. My mind has seriously changed over the summer.

"Seriously?!" Avery squeaked. So much for keeping in her excitement.

"Thats great, although I probably won't go to all of them. I have to make time for family, and other stuff." I say regretfully.

"It's alright, Luka. Not everyone like losing." She dissed. I just shrugged it off and went inside. The inside of the school was like a mansion, only this was with lockers and tile floors. There was a chandelier that hung right over our heads when we first walked in the front doors, and the walls were covered with custom wallpaper. It was sophisticated tanish color. Yes, tan has a shade that's sophisticated. But anyway, the walls had pale roses on every two feet in width going down the all the hallways on the bottom floor. The floors were just a solid white, which was so hard to clean up in winter. Just saying.

As I was saying, the top floor was filled with all kinds on colors that just.. blended. It was amazing.

The front office was right across the front doors. It was like a receptionist's desk for a bank. I walked up to it eager to see what classes I got "Ah! Luka." the receptionist said. "Last year here. How does it feel?"

"It feels toes amazing! I'm going to miss it though."

"I understand. That's why I became Secretary! I can't deal with a lot of kids at once so I was like 'I'm NOT becoming a teacher!" she smiled. She looked pretty young for a girl in her late 20's. She almost looked my age if it wasn't for the wrinkles coming right under her eyes. "But you're here for your schedual, I know. I just keep rambling on." she looked in a huge stack of papers, which all seemed to be scheduals. Gosh! We have a lot of new Freshman. It's going to be tricky keeping my spot this year...

"Here you are!" the scretary squeaked. "Luka Frost. Welcome back."

******

I looked at my schedual:

Calculus                                                Room # 201

AP English                                            Room # 989

AP Anatomy                                          Room # 193

Parenting                                              Room # 710

Lunch                                                    Cafe

AP U.S. History                                    Room # 190

Study Hall(2 hours)                            Gym

Great.. I'm everywhere. I took another look at it and the botton had a message that was tough to read.

'Congrats! You're number 3 in the PC!'  -Kaitlyn

Yeah. .Kaitlyn was definitely here.

"Give me a locker upstairs, like right up" I pointed to the ceiling.

"Alright! Here you are." she held out a lock in her frail hands. "The combination is 34-16-02." I smiled and took the lock gently out of her hands.

The lockers were a bright blue upstairs. The walls looked as if someone splattered paint on them. It looked amazing.

Finally, I get to my locker. Avery literally jumps in front of me." My locker is like right next to yours!" she squeaked.

"Awesome! Let me see your schedual." I say as she hands me it. I look deeply at it then realize, "We have lunch and study hall together!"

Thats great! And look! Number 4 in the PC! What number are you?"

"3" I say.

"You're almost as high as Kaitlyn!"

Today's a great day.
