this poem is based on the song, " everything i wanted" by Billie Eilish, just describes my intepretation of it, was written for a contest!
I stand by
As i watch you go
Knowing i loved you so
Tell me why
You had to be so cruel
I lost you
But at what cost?
Is this everything i could want ?
Is this why i fought?
I stayed for you
You kept me going
But without you i feel so lonely
I hope for things
And want more
But you were all i adored
You changed and left us behind
Why, oh why did you lie ?
Is this everything i could want?
Or were you just here to taunt ?
I loved and loved but all is now lost
Fake and broken hearts lie in most
But you, i gave all i had to you
Is this everything i lived for?
Are you who i said i could die for ?
You left me broken in tears
Oh god i hope you were near
I loved you so
And wanted more
But i guess your love has moved on to the next door
