Yesterday, I was the Sun
Akio was an elderly woman. She was short. Petite. And pensive at whatever she is doing. Just like you. Though, anyone knew that her face was more tranquil compared to your fierce gaze on anything.
Akio had short long hair that was tied in a braid. She loved her favorite magenta sweater, and the other that her previous resident "Baal" had worn. She loved her granddaughter more than anything. If she were to hold up two pictures of Baal and her granddaughter, they would be identical in terms of beauty, but different in personality.
She likes llamas, the color purple and magenta. Winter is her favorite season. Her favorite sport is volleyball. She likes watching the news, podcasts about the latest drama, and adores skeleton flowers. Plants weren't her forte, because they'd die right after she bought them. Ironic enough, she still bought them anyway.
But, Akio also loved going to restaurants. Even though she is all cooped up in her house, she likes going there. It gives her nostalgia. No matter which one she goes to. As long as the energy is bright and beautiful.
"That precious finger... Was it really necessary to even use it? Just to check if the finger has it? Sukuna's true strength?" a disgusting humanoid volcano-head walking with a cane, is following behind a tall male with stitches surrounding his forehead.
"Well an incomplete dummy would be meaningless."
"It's the harvest season you know?" Another monster snorts behind the volcano guy.
"Hmph. I hope this isn't an excuse." The other abomination snarls in an unknown language. The volcano guy gawks at it.
"Welcome! Table for one?" a woman says cheerfully. Flabbergasted by the appearance of the man. As if she knows that these abominations are ugly, she ignores them so. If that was the case, she'd die on the spot.
The man holds up one finger. "Just one." In sync, Akio and the man say that both at the same time.
"Oh dear me. I apologize. I thought she was just talking to me." The man only smiles at the old lady. "It's fine. I would've gotten it mixed up too," he said. Giving her a closed-eye smile.
Although, an eye gazes down at the older woman. Annoyed or disgusted are two things, but they may coincide with the look this thing is giving to her right now.
Akio sits on one of the cushions. A waitress comes without a second's notice.
"What would you like to order Miss?" the waiter is a young woman. She has short black hair with multi-colored clips in them. As immature as it is, as long as her personality suits the job. Though... this place Is cheap. They might as well try to hire anyone.
"Do you have any Botamochi on sale right now?" Akio asks. Although it was a deliberately strange question, the waitress nods without a second thought. Okay, maybe a second thought.
"In other words, your boss wants to turn the tables on today's humans? Is that what you mean?" the man questions.
"It's a little bit different. Humans are built from lies. Their own, and the world itself. There's always an underside to the emotions and actions that are shown of the surface. But negative emotions, like anger or hatred, never lie. That's why we curses are born from them. We are genuine, real humans. Not monsters. Those imposters ought to disappear."
"Hmmm... right now, the ones being extinguished are you guys."
"That's why I'm asking you, how do we defeat those sorcerers?"
The older man holds up two of his fingers. "Before war breaks out... You can win if you satisfy two conditions."
"Gojo Satoru needs to be unable to fight. Win over the double-faced specter and Itadori Yuji." Although it may seem like he had finished, he wasn't done. The man flips up another finger. "Apparently, there is another recruit they had registered. An adult female, guising as a student. As silly as it sounds, she's already a first grade. It won't be too surprising if she'd become special no? But that'll take some time though."
"That's all there is to her? Some new sorcerer? Gojo was one the second he was born was he not?"
"Hmm, just in case. No one has even heard of her. But the second she started, she brought whatever 'lies' with her."
"Will they be foes or allies?"
The older man rubs his chin a bit. "Who knows? It's good to keep tabs on them though. Well would you look at that?! Looks like there are four conditions!" The older man says, obviously giggling. The volcano man grunted as he tapped his fingers even more than he did before.
"Isn't that Yuji kid dead?" he finally asked.
"Well... I wonder..."
Suddenly, a waiter ran right out of the door. It only took a glance for his instincts to know that this place is not made for him. He knew it better than anyone else, he would die if he would go to that table.
Akio only watches in silence, aware of what is going to happen. She sighs and quickly tells her waitress to leave.
"What?" the waitress asked. Confused by what Akio had told her to do. "Leave this place now!" The lady started to sweat furiously. It was either this old woman who may have escaped the asylum hospital, or the air-conditioning wasn't even on.
When she was about to turn to leave, a flicker and then a burst of flames flew right out of her body. It didn't take no longer than a second for her to become a charred corpse.
She no longer beautiful. Or immature. She is now one with her maker. Dead.
After that, everyone burned within seconds. Instinct told them to run. Though, they did not. They had died. Pitiful deaths.
But Akio does not die. She sits there... Reminiscing that she is indeed old, but alive. Like always. Yesterday she was the Sun. Today she is the Moon. Then, it'd go on. Over and over until the Gods are done. She is cursed. Cursed to live for her sins. Her soul still latches on, no matter how old she will get.
The ashes make the man cough as he waves it past and away from him. "I'm glad I didn't pick an expensive restaurant." he says.
"Getou. How many of Sukuna's fingers is my strength equal to?" the volcano man asked.
"If I were to overestimate it. 8 or 9 fingers I guess."
"That's sufficient I guess. Give that taboo object to me! I'll add it to my collection! Instead... I'll kill Gojo Satoru, and that stupid woman you're talking about!"
Getou, looks back at Akio's charred body. It still beats. He knows of it. He knew the second she even breathed next to him at their first meeting.
'Akio... you just proved my theory right... That Baal girl, she is quite special isn't she?' Getou laughs at the poor woman, and leaves with his subordinates.
Akio mourns her never-coming end. She only wishes to rest. Along with everything she loves. "Baal..." she whispers. "Don't die. Not yet." The sun sets for today...
Author's Note: Akio has lore?! If you ask why she didn't tell anyone to leave beforehand, trust me guys, they'd still die. :P Fun Fact: My brother's birthday is coming up! :D
