The word "vampire" consumed my mind,
I needed answers, a truth to find.
But asking Orion would bring no clarity,
His laughter and denial, his usual disparity.
So, I hatched a plan, clever and sly,
Invited him for dinner, a hopeful try.
Though he declined the meal, as always,
His care made him agree to help, my gaze.
Before he arrived, a hidden camera I'd conceal,
Behind the kitchen glass, secrets to reveal.
I cut my hand, dropped blood on the kitchen slab,
Then rushed to the bathroom, my trap to grab.
From there, I watched the kitchen's display,
Orion's actions in a peculiar way.
He sniffed and licked the blood I'd left behind,
My heart sank, the truth, he'd unwind.
Fear gripped me as I felt betrayed,
The price of the truth, I'd never weighed.
I cried out, "You're a monster!" in my fright,
Orion turned, his vampire nature in plain sight.
Crimson eyes, blood on his lips so red,
Vampire teeth exposed, our secret spread.
With lightning speed, he fled through the night,
Out of my kitchen window, out of my sight.
