I prepared to embrace what I once despised,
A blind date ahead, I couldn't disguise.
I wore a crimson body-hugging dress,
While he arrived in casual white, no less.
"What lies ahead?" my anxious heart did weigh,
Nervous and excited as I began the foray.
I chose white sauce pasta for my plate,
He opted solely for red wine's fate.
Throughout the date, our gazes intertwined,
A constant interaction, hearts entwined.
He walked me home, it felt so right,
Through Rome's streets, under the moonlight.
Upon arriving home, a choice to be made,
Invite him in? My thoughts swayed.
But within a moment, we shared the couch's grace,
For a gentleman so charming,
the thought of not wanting him was hard to erase.
