Kaureen's POV
For the past three days, me and baba hanged out together. We went to eat, shop, explore and do many other things. Baba was not a boring baba and was very fun to be with. Aunty Maryam was pretending to be happy for us but deep down I knew she was fuming. Sudais just sent me glared everytime he saw me do I tried as much as possible to avoid him, my own twin. It was Sunday evening already and I'll be starting school tomorrow inshallah. Baba had already enrolled me to Sudais' school even though I begged him to enroll me to a different one. My uniform had already been delivered and I have my books and supplies but I'm very nervous so I did a nafilah and prayed to Allah to guide me then I went to try on my uniform. It consisted of a mini white hijab, black blazer, white long sleeve inner shirt, a black and white striped tie and a black skirt that reaches my knee. It is to be worn with white socks and black shoes. I have three new black boots mammi bought for me before she died, black converse, black sneakers and black corporate shoes. Baba also bought me more black things cause mammi never agreed to buy me just black that's why I had few black things. By the time I was done checking my uniform, I arranged my books, prayed and had dinner then went to sleep.
*The next day*
Today is Monday Ya Allah. I woke up by 5:00 I prayed my Fajr and Subh prayer then I slept again till 6:20. I took my bath and got ready. Hmm I look nice fully dressed MashaAllah. I took my obviously black bag and checked of everything was in it. By the time I was done, it was 6;58 so I went downstairs and had a quick breakfast of tea and sandwich and I packed some sandwiches for me and Sudais. I left his on the dining table and went to inform baba that I was ready. He stood up and we went downstairs and then he called Sudais. Together, we went outside into the car and Sudais sat down in the front while I sat at the back seat. We got to school around 7:23 and Sudais bid dad goodbye and disappeared while I waited for baba to take me to the principal's office. We got there, baba signed something and they talked and laugh like how grown up men do. They wasted a lot of time though and by the time they were done, students were already in classes. The principal explained to me their education system and said I had to choose between art, science and commercial. And since I was aspiring to become a business woman that'll earn big fat money and also I learnt we're not many in the class, I chose commercial. Baba gave me a prep talk and a hug and then left me with the principal. To say I was nervous was an understatement. We finally got to the class and he called the teacher ad told him bla bla bla and the teacher nodded and the principal was like I'm handing her over and the teacher said okay and the principal left me with the teacher. Again. He ushered me inside and I saw that they were no more than 11 ppl here. I spotted the perfect seat near the window and quickly went to take a seat. We were having accounting and I quickly brought out my book to write the note on the board. God I miss my old school. I haven't written half a page and my hand is cramping. Soon, we were done with accounting and it was nice. We had Maths double period and then English. Throughout the classes I felt eyes on me especially when I put on my glasses but no one talked to me and I didn't talk to no one. Yes I wore glasses but I thought I was getting better. One thing I was really thankful about was that no teacher asked me to introduce myself. It was break time when I brought out my sandwich and was about to eat when someone walked up to my table. It was this pretty girl that looks like she could kill you and smile. She gave me psycho vibes and she was in a mini hijab too which means she was a Muslima. "Hii, I'm Aasiyah. What's your name?" She said and I told her I was Kaureen. She said she loved my name and sat down near me she asked some questions and I also asked her some. She was really funny and nice but still gave me psycho vibes. She also brought her food and ate on my desk. Other people were looking at us weirdly and it was uncomfortable so she said I shouldn't mind them and just focus on her pretty face and I laughed at that. She even shifted her desk and put it close to mine. That was how I made my first friend in my new school.
