Dear Carlisle,
Another journal to fill. I only wish it could have more adventures, not the names of the people I make guilty for the fun of my captors. Caius has only grown more cruel in the three years I've had here, as you will have read in the previous volumes of my writings. The more I fight against the dreaded feed, the more cruel he becomes. I know I shouldn't rebel, but I hate looking at these humans, knowing that they don't know what will happen. I long to tell them to turn back and run but after trying it once, I never will again. Caius went to kill me, then simply stopped before Aro said, "Caius, you cannot kill our weapon." When I asked what I would be used against I received no answer, only a look between the three leaders and a smirk on Aro's face.
I do believe they want to use me against you someday. For our own sakes, I hope the day never comes. From what I know of you, I cannot see you causing any kind of strife involving this coven; you know the risks of it are tenfold. They don't seem to have a plan as of yet, but I think they are waiting for any excuse to challenge you. They speak of your coven and I do grow curious as to who you have added to our little family. Maybe Edward found a mate? I hope you are happy wherever you reside these days.
What is the world like now? I imagine there are more of those movies. Suki told me about them, but we never went. I do so want to see the new animations Disney have produced. However, I cannot imagine ever seeing anything outside of this building for the next century at least. I've never dreamt of anything more than my escape from here.
Thinking of you, always,
Edith
