Dear Carlisle,
I write now with fear inside of me. Irina came to visit, from the Denali coven, and reported a crime against the Cullen name. She claimed there was an immortal child, and Aro saw it, referring to someone called Bella. I was there when he read the mind, she saw me but said nothing to me. Who is Bella, Carlisle? Is she an acquaintance of yours? I do that she isn't if this accusation is true.
My biggest concern is what Caius said about me. That finally my time had come to prove myself worthy. I feel they knew that someday something would arise between the Cullens and the Volturi, and they would make me fight against you. But do not fear, I will never go against you. Out of every vampire I've met, I know that you are the only one I will ever trust fully.
Be ready, Carlisle. The Volturi want a battle, and I believe they want Edward to join them as well as someone else named Alice. There are rumours of her seeing the future, but I've heard nothing truly proving it. In my time, I don't believe I've seen or heard of this ability, and it sounds truly fascinating. Anyway, I digress. This could be a true battle unlike we've ever seen before. Something terrible. And I do fear that it could end with a massacre of good people. I would be heartbroken if something happened to you.
I hope to see you soon, and hopefully have a good outcome of it.
Edith
