A/N This first part is when Katrina was eight years old and Caleb was ten. Different POVS will be shown throughout the story.

-Katrina's POV-
"No school today! 'Cause it's Saturday!" I jumped out of bed and rushed down the country home stairs with excitement to go and eat breakfast. Then, of course, I would go to Caleb's house to play like I have been since I was two years old. My mother and father looked at me in pity, something was definitely not right. "Sweetie, we hate to break it to you but," I wish that they would spit it out already, "Caleb and his family are moving, this is their last day." Father said, seeming disappointed on the inside but remained calm on the out. Quickly, I ate my breakfast and went out the door to see a gigantic moving truck in front of Caleb's house across the street! Running up to the homes door, I rang the doorbell with tears in my eyes. Caleb's mom answered and let me inside, seeing that I was sad. "Hello Katrina, I'm very sorry but we are moving today, Caleb is in the backyard." With that, I thanked her and went out in the yard. By the houses large stone wall, Caleb stood holding his teddy bear. "Caleb!" I sobbed, though I was only six years old I still felt deeply depressed and saddened. "Katrina! I'm so sorry! I don't want to leave!" Caleb hugged me as we cried together, he gave me a bouquet of pink roses his mother grew in their garden. That day was the worst day I had, especially as a six year old girl but now, I'm sixteen and still feel the same way. When I was a kid, Caleb always stood up for me in school and in the neighborhood. I knew that I would never feel the same way about anyone else.

As she cried in my arms, I gave Katrina pink roses that mama grew. Never had I had a better friend than Katrina but she wouldn't really understand since she was only eight. She was like a sister to me and I could never forget her no matter how hard I tried. Why do I even have to move? Is my mother's stupid job more important than my childhood? To this very day, I wonder what would've happened if I stayed in Oakville with Katrina. I do hope with all my heart that Katrina won't get bullied while I'm gone, since I always used to stand up for her. Even though we had known each other a short period of time, I still loved Katrina. She was my little sister! Truly, I will miss her with all my heart and soul. We sat at the stone wall together, thinking of all the good times that we had and crying as we did. She's pretty smart for a eight year old, and for my best friend. I wonder what she will be  like when I'm gone...

-Katrina's point of view ten years later-
I'll never forget the day he moved but I have to stop thinking about it before I cry. Today was my first day of school! Oakville High is where I went to school but now I'm heading to college, so are my bestie Gracie and my other bestie Starr, I got ready. I packed my iPhone in my bag and walked downstairs. My mom smiled big at me "Hey Katrina! Want some breakfast?" "Duh mom; I ALWAYS want breakfast," I said rolling my eyes and giggling. My mom laughed as she handed me bacon, eggs and hash browns. "OOOH! My favorite!" I squealed. Then I raised my eyebrows, "Mom what do you want?" She smiled, "Okay! You know me too well! So sweetie, today I have a meeting until 9 but I agreed to babysit till 6-8 when I'll be in my meeting. Will you—" "Yes mom I'll babysit." "Thank you Katrina!" She smiled and hugged me. She tossed me a banana and walked out the door.

-Caleb's point of view ten years later-
I sighed and started packing, I was returning to college since holiday was over, but my eyes fell on one particular picture, that picture of me and Katrina on her sixth birthday, I picked it up and stared. Oh how I missed her, though it was so very long ago. I put the picture in my bag and overlooked my baggage, "Okay I have everything!" I said to myself. But I'm still missing something; I'm still missing my other half. I picked up the picture and walked out the door to my car and then to college. I walked up the steps to my dorm room and opened the door. My new roommate and his girlfriend were making out on the bed. I stared, "Knock knock." I said raising an eyebrow. "OH MY GOD!!!" The girl yelled and ran out of the room. I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. My roommate stared, "What the hell man!?" He had a slightly British accent. I set my stuff on the bed and the picture of Katrina fell out! My roommate picked it up, "You destroyed my moment, I'll destroy your memory!" I swear to god I was gonna murder him if he broke my last picture of Katrina. He raised the picture over his head and threw it on the ground. CRACK! I heard a horrifying crack as the picture ripped and the frame broke. I took a deep breath and charged for him. I threw a few punches and he whimpered like a baby, I looked him in the eye and said, "Mess with me that's okay. Mess with the last memory of my best friend you're dead frickin' meat." And with that, I walked out and slammed the door.

-Katrina's POV-
I walked in and out of classes, it was so boring. I had piles of homework, and I didn't have exactly a 4.0 grade average. I picked up my phone and checked Instagram and I got an idea. I'll do it at the end of the day: look up Caleb's Instagram username to see if I can find anything. After school I rushed home and logged on Instagram. My mother walked in and slammed the door "KATRINA ELIZABETH WOODSON!" I jumped out of my skin "Yeah mom?" "I AM SO ANGRY AT YOU! HOW COULD YOU STEAL!" My heart pounded "W- what?" "YOU STOLE SUNGLASSES FROM A STORE! IT'S ON VIDEO!" I stared at her "Mom I'm sorry! I returned them!" I sobbed. "Katrina why? Why would you steal?" "Because Caleb moved. Stealing helped me feel better." She shook her head, "Katrina, after babysitting you're grounded. Which means no phone, no electronic devices for a MONTH." I stared. I felt sick! I handed her my phone, "You need it for babysitting after that no phone. Zero. Zilch. Nada." I sighed. When babysitting time came I just remembered Caleb's Instagram! So I was typing when suddenly I heard HONK HONK!!!! I felt a car slam into my body. Suddenly the world was black.
