Dinner for two

I'm standing in front of the mirror in Sawyers room. I'm just making sure the dress I got earlier is fitting right." You look beautiful!" Says Sawyer from behind. I turn around," when did you walk in here?" He smiles," like a few seconds ago, I stayed quiet so I could enjoy the view." I smile and blush. I figure I'm not going to look any better so I head to the bathroom to do my hair and makeup. Once I'm finished I head downstairs where Sawyer is waiting. " m'lady." Says Sawyer as he bows and tips his hat. I laugh and grab is now outstretched arm. We walk to the driveway where his mom is waiting in the car. He opens the door to let me in then climbs in after me. We look out the window, playing eye spy. After a while the countryside fades into Fultonville. His mom pulls into a restaurant and we hop out of the car. We walk into the restaurant and wait to be seated." So have you been here before?" I ask Sawyer. He smiles and laughs," only like a million times! I love this place it has the best lasagna, you should try it!" I smile," maybe I will." I'm about to sit down when the waiter comes to seat us. We follow him to our table. I sit down and don't look at the menu. Sawyer laughs," well aren't you going to look at the menu to decide your order?" He asks." Well you told me to try the lasagna, so I am." I reply. He smiles. I pull out my phone to check the time and when I put it away I see Sawyer staring at me. When he sees that I notice him staring he looks away and blushes." Sorry, It's just, you look so pretty I couldn't resist." He mumbles. I laugh. I'm about to reply when the waiter comes to take out order." We'll have two waters and two lasagnas please." Says Sawyer. He looks towards me," is that okay." I nod," yeah that's fine." The waiter walks away and I begin to hear the beginning of an unmistakable song, Iris." Hey it's our song!" I exclaim. I remember when Sawyer performed this. He kept glancing at me the entire time. " So it is." He replies. I rest my head on my hand and remember when he sang this on the voice. It was before we were dating but I could tell he liked me. The way he looked at me totally gave it away. I felt a touch on my arm," whatcha thinking about?" Asked Sawyer. I snapped out of my daydream," oh nothing, just remembering when you performed this song on the voice." I reply. He smiles. Just then out food arrives. I take a bite," oh my god this is amazing!" I say. Sawyer laughs," I told you!" After we finish eating and Sawyer pays we walk outside and wait for his mom. Finally his mom arrives and we hop into the car. On the drive home I rest my head on Sawyers shoulder, tired. I'm about to fall asleep when I feel the car stop. Sawyer begins to carry me into the house. " it's fine." I say." I can walk." He doesn't listen and continues to carry me into the house and upstairs into his room. He delicately places me on the bed. I pull off my dress and pull on my pjs, not caring that Sawyer is right there. I crawl into bed and wait for Sawyer to turn off the lights. Finally the lights turn off and Sawyer crawls into bed. He kisses me then wraps his arms around me. I smile. A perfect end to a perfect night.
