The Unknown Child

Flashback

Echidna's POV

I woke up in the plush bed that Dr.Blu had got me. The underside of the blanket was so soft that it felt like the plushie he gave me. Also, I had named the plushie Mr.Green like Dr.blu. I sat up and walked over to the table and found a book and when I opened it, it had blank pictures in it and there was a box of markers next to it.

I opened the book and found a page with an animal that looked like Mr. Green. I opened the markers and started to color the paper.

Once I was done with coloring, the door opened, and Dr. Blu came through. I felt happy to see him. He walked over and sat in the chair next to me. "What are you doing, Echidna?" He asked.

"Coloring," I answered bluntly before showing him the picture. I had colored the animal on it with different blues and yellows. The background was blank, though.

Dr. Blu smiled. "I take it you like triceratops?" He asked again, "triceratops? is that what Mr. Green is?" I had asked while looking at the green stuffie.

"Oh, you named him?" Dr. Blu looked at me curiously, I nodded, holding Mr. Green close. I looked up and gave him a small smile. He returned it, but his smile reminded me of someone.

The more I tried to think of the person, the more I tried to make a clear picture, the more my head started to hurt. I put my hand on my head, "Echidna? Are you ok?" I heard Dr. Blu's voice, but I couldn't answer. My head was just foggy, I started feeling light headed, soon everything went black.

I woke up in a house I didn't recognize. I walked around the house, soon realizing I didn't have Mr. Green. I walked down the stairs and was met with a full furnished house, no rooms, though. There was a lady with her back to me, humming. "E-excuse me?" I walked closer to the lady, but before I got to her, the door was busted down by a bunch of strange men. They all surrounded the lady, she seemed scared but I couldn't see her face. The men seem to not see me, or they didn't care for me.

Again, my head started to hurt, but I didn't want to leave the lady alone with these strange men. I tried walking to her, but my legs gave out from under me. I started to see black spots in my eyes as I looked at the lady one last time before again everything went black.

I woke up in my room, in my bed, with Dr. Blu is sitting next to me on the edge of the bed. "Hey, are you ok? You blacked out on me," He stated with concern. "He was concerned for me?" I thought as I nodded, answering his question.

"I saw something, a lady in a house" I started, he looked at me confused so I continued "everything in the house was black colored, then these strange men came in and surrounded the lady" I finished remembering the color of the furniture.

Dr. Blu looked at me before writing down on a clipboard, I guess I didn't see it when he came in. "It appears you might have had a flashback. Does your head still hurt? He asked, and I nodded.

He did a small single nod. "Try to get some rest. It will help," He stated before standing up. I looked around for Mr. Green, I found him next to me. I grabbed him and hugged him close before nodding and snuggling into the blanket. Dr. Blu smiled before leaving the room. I closed my eyes and found myself back into the comfort of sleep.

After that one dream, I kept having more. They were all the same, yet I have no idea who that lady is, who the men are, or why I was in the house. But I guess I won't know for now. Though with these thoughts, I can never get proper sleep.
