Today was Halloween and to say it was a rough day was an understatement. The costumes Ariana had ordered for her and her family, never showed up and now here she is. Last minute costume shopping at Walmart.
"All right princess, what should we be for Halloween?" Ariana says as she asks her 1-year-old daughter, Y/n.
Y/n just looks up at Ariana and continues to chew on a set of keys that Dalton had gotten her, since her new fascination is trying to eat people's keys. Ariana smiles at her daughter and continues to push the cart to the Halloween costume isles.
"What about angels?" Ariana asks Y/n as she holds up a small pair of white wings. Y/n looks at Ariana with an unamusing look on her face. "Okay then"
Ariana puts the wings back where they go before pulling out a rainbow afro wig. "What about daddy being a clown?" Ariana says as she grabs a matching red nose that also makes a squeaking sound when pressed.
"Nu" Y/n states before looking at the onesies where they were near the cart. "Dat"
Y/n points at a baby stitch onesie. Ariana's face goes up in a big smile before grabbing the size that will fit Y/n and grabbing other items that will help the other family members costumes. Dalton is going to be David and, Ariana is going to be Nani.
Y/n smiles as she goes to the toy area to pick out a special toy since Y/n has saved Halloween. Y/n giggles as she watches Ariana make silly faces at her while walking through the store.
"Alright princess," Ariana states as she lifts Y/n out from the cart and sets her on her feet. "You may pick 2 toys. Mama might even get you some more for being so good!"
Y/n lets out a squeal as she starts to wobble around and spots where the baby dolls are. She points to a set that has a small baby yelling at Ariana.

"You want that baby?" Ariana asks as she bends down to where her daughter is and grabs the box that she is pointing at. Y/n nods before going back to wobble walking while looking for another toy.
Ariana ended up helping Y/n look for more accessories and clothes for her new baby doll. She also found diapers, which she bought several packs of because she knew Y/n would lose a few, a stroller, a crib, a portable table chair, a shopping cart, a carrier, as well as making a list of somethings to order when she gets home.
"Okay, lets head to checkout before we buy more." Ariana says as she lifts Y/n back into the cart walking to a checkout lane that is not too long and loads everything on the belt alongside making small talk with the cashier. As Ariana goes to put Y/n's new baby doll set on the belt, Y/n starts to cry not wanting to give up her baby.
"Lovey," Ariana says as she looks at her baby holding her baby. "You got to let the nice lady scan your baby." Y/n shakes her head no before the lady checking them out, goes over with a handheld scanner and scans Y/n's baby.
"All done sweet girl, you get to keep your baby." The lady says as she continues to ring up the rest of the stuff Ariana put up there.
"Thank you so much." Ariana says looking at her daughter as she starts to calm down holding her baby close to her. The cashier smiles at the mom.
"Of course, my daughter was like that once." The lady smiles before telling Ariana her final total. Ariana goes to pay with her card and watches her daughter as she babbles to her new doll. She smiles before thanking the cashier and heading for the exit.
