Ariana held her breath as the chilly gel met her skin. The doctor maneuvered the instrument across her abdomen in search of the precious glimpse of their unborn child.
"There it is!" The doctor exclaimed, revealing an image of their baby.
"You have a healthy 12-week-old baby," Dr. Nguyen affirmed, pointing out the ultrasound photos and handing them to Madison.
"Thank you so much," Madison expressed her gratitude as she shook hands with the doctor before departing with Ariana.

Ariana, gripped by a powerful contraction, let out a groan from her hospital bed. Madison, beside her, offered gentle words of reassurance and soothing touches, trying to alleviate her discomfort.
"It's okay, my love, just a little longer before we meet our little princess," Madison whispered, her hand rubbing Ariana's tense belly and back in a comforting rhythm.
Yes, it was a little princess they were expecting. Ariana had indulged in enthusiastic preparations upon discovering the gender.
"Alright, you're ready to start pushing," Dr. Nguyen announced, positioned in front of Ariana.
With Madison firmly holding her hand, Ariana pushed through each contraction, grunting with effort as she worked to bring their daughter into the world.
"One more push and your daughter will be here!" The doctor encouraged, making room for the imminent arrival.
With one final, intense effort, Ariana let out a loud cry, feeling a sense of relief flood her body as she caught her breath.
"Congratulations, you have a healthy 5-pound baby girl," Dr. Nguyen announced, placing the newborn on Ariana's chest.
"She's here. Finally!" Madison exclaimed softly, her voice filled with emotion as she held the baby's tiny hand.
While Madison stepped away to confer with the doctor, Ariana and the newborn shared a tender moment.
