The splashes of water on the pier are gradually becoming small waves, and the rolling of the ship is noticeably worsening, so much so that we immediately have to grab the table in front of us.

"At this pace it will capsize the ship!" Nami shouts over the sound of the waves. However, my gaze immediately falls on Aileen, lying in a safe place on the boat, at least for now.

"Aileen, are you ok?"

Yes, don't worry about me. Don't lose your grip.

"Looks like a Captain and Navigator's job" Luffy's gaze is concentrated, intent on understanding what to do, I don't know how long he has been at sea before, I only know that a captain in these cases must know what to do, with some help, of course, but the solution must come from his pocket

"We have to go towards the stars, it means the sky's clearer. Luffy, go starboard" Nami beats him to it.

Just when we're about to move, the bow of the ship lifts violently, and we all roll backwards, with Zoro falling straight onto me. I feel pain on my back from the impact with the wood, and my ribs are no joke either, with all his weight on them. We try to straighten ourselves, which is not easy with the swaying of the boat, before getting up he looks at me seriously, with one corner of his mouth slightly raised

"Good thing I put down the swords" indeed, and I am thankful, considering he never does.

"Good thing we finally found something that could wake you up from a nap" our back and forth.

"Nami we have to lower the sail as well" Luffy instructs, But Nami's busy with the telescope trying to find a way out of here. I remain standing, so to speak, next to Aileen, and from the small window you can see a disturbing picture. The black sky covers the horizon almost entirely, if it weren't for that small segment of brighter color.

"Tell me what do to, and I'll go" I shout to Luffy, laboriously trying to make steps forwards. But I feel pulled by the wrist shortly after

"Stay put, I'll go" I'm about to open my mouth, but a sound from Aileen stops me.

Let him, he's doing you a solid, don't' argue

I'm not sure it's a solid, and even if it was, I don't like being considered a damsel in distress, but I'll listen to her this one time. Climbing up to the sail is not an easy thing, and we all stare at Zoro in alert, to understand if there is room to climb or if it is too dangerous and abort it.

Zoro seems to have the reins of the situation, which doesn't surprise us. In the meantime, Luffy analyzes the circumstances, turns his eyes from the rudder, to the horizon, then back to the rudder, dares to leave the cabin, covering his face with his forearm to protect himself from the violent shocks of wind and water

"The wind is too strong, it is not possible to turn the ship" he shouts. Which is obviously a problem. We need to turn that ship.

"Guys, a hundred meters away there are some big bad waves coming towards us" of course there are.

"Sh*t" Nami swears, lost in her navigation gear.

She tries to figure out how to move thing against the wind, Zoro keeps clinging, but the surprising thing is the expression on Luffy's face. He looks worried, and if he's worried, it means catastrophe. Another glance at Aileen, to make sure she's ok, and then I make my decision.

"Zoro do not lower that sail" I shout.

"You're a sea dog all of a sudden?" is he really giving me a hard time in this very moment?! I deliberately choose to ignore him.

"Luffy, with the wind in our favour, could we set sail to where Nami said?"

"Yes, but the wind seems to disagree with you" well the wind hasn't met me yet.

I sit on the wood, legs curled up, I have to gather concentration and clear my mind, otherwise the plan won't work. Luffy notices me and raises an eyebrow.

"Uhm, Xia, is it the right time to relax?" oh Luffy, I am doing just the opposite down here.

"Tell me when it's enough" they still can't figure out what I am doing.

"What"

"Watch" I push down the barriers of the mind, I let the wind enter my lungs, let it pervade my whole body, and when I feel it close, when I feel the shivers, it's time to push, enough to make it move, little by little, and clear our path. Pranking Zoro by moving the air is child's play, moving a storm for a moment, not so much.

"Woaaah, this so cool!" Luffy perceives the weather change, and his typical smile appears on his face, as does Nami. I concentrate the air current towards a specific point, so that the sail inflates again and resumes the right route, I start to feel that tingling sensation that always comes over me when I push too hard. Powers have limits, we know this, and I have to respect them if I don't want to find myself passed out on the ground.

"A bit more, Xia" I hear Luffy's voice a bit muffled.

"Zoro, waves still right in front of us?!" Luffy asks since Zoro has a better view up there. He only raises his thumb. In the meantime, Nami is ready for a turn at the helm that should remove us from the eye of the hurricane

"Now, Nami, now!" he shouts, and she acts. I can't push the wind enough for a full turn, and the ship struggles to turn completely.

"More! On the left, more!" I narrow my eyes, I feel heavy breathing, I give it one more push, but the power slips out of my hand and the ship turns violently, almost wobbling.

"Zoro!" Luffy shouts, in fear.

He fell into the sea.
